Heath Ledger ate so much food during his girlfriend Michelle Williams' pregnancy, he gained nine kilograms (20 pounds).

The Australian actor and his Brokeback Mountain co-star welcomed their daughter MATILDA into the world on 28 October (05), and Ledger admits that he packed on the pounds by indulging in pizza and ice cream during his sympathy cravings.

But since the birth, Ledger, 26, has been working on keeping the ladies in his life comfortable.

He says, "I wake up, keep the house clean, get Michelle juices, plates full of vegetables. We take walks, read books."
