The 25-year-old actress, who is best known for her roles in Heroes and Nashville, gave birth on Tuesday 9th December. The baby, named Kaya Klitschko, weighed in at 7 lbs., 14 oz. and measured 20 inches (50.8cm), according to Us Weekly.
The news of the arrival was confirmed by Panettiere's representative to numerous entertainment websites on Saturday (13th December). In addition to confirming the news, the new parents also issued a short statement to People in which they said: "We are over the moon and madly in love!"
Panettiere announced the news of her pregnancy in May when she performed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Panettiere appeared wearing a bikini and sported her small bump. "I accept my ALS Challenge. I renominate Kacey Musgraves - you're not getting out of this, Wladimir Klitschko, and my unborn child," Panettiere said in an Instagram video.

She's frequently appeared at award ceremonies and in public looking radiant with her ever growing baby bump! In August she appeared at the Primetime Emmy Awards and looked spectacularly beautiful in a silver gown. She also expressed her excitement at becoming a mother and having a baby girl. "I can't wait for her to come out," Panettiere said at the occasion.
This is the first child for both Panettiere and 38-year-old Klitschko. The couple became engaged last October after reconciling in April 2013. They had previously dated for two years from 2009-2011 but separated for two years.
Congratulations to the happy couple on the news of their baby's arrival!
