Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, Michael Palin and Downton Abbey actress Penelope Wilton were among the celebrities who joined mourners at beloved actor Richard Griffiths' funeral in England on Tuesday (09Apr13).

Playwright Alan Bennett also attended the memorial at the Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-Upon-Avon, while the late thespian's Withnail & I co-star Richard E. Grant and Dame Judi Dench, who could not be there, sent tributes.

Grant, who is preparing to shoot hit Tv series Girls in America, raised a few laughs when his wreath of root vegetables - a reference to their cult comedy - arrived at the church, where William Shakespeare is buried.

Dench sent a single rose.

Griffiths passed away last month (Mar13) from complications following heart surgery. He was 65.
