Harrison Ford is set to replace Bruce Willis in the all-star action franchise, The Expendables, as we move on to a third film, and Sylvester Stallonewho broke the story - seems mighty pleased with the news.

He Tweeted: “WILLIS OUT... HARRISON FORD IN !!!! GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!” before posting: “GREEDY AND LAZY ...... A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE”. Now, we don’t think it takes a master of interpretation to ascertain that somewhere, somehow, Rocky and John McClain have fallen out somewhere down the line.

And if you think ‘oh, but that Tweet could have been about anyone’, then, you’re wrong. The Huffington Post reached out for comment and got one – they confirmed, via Stallone’s representatives, that the post was aimed directly at Willis’ forehead (they didn’t say forehead) but declined to comment further.

But, despite all the Twitter-blasting, the million-year-old Harrison Ford is still going - that's the story here. his purported role in the third Expendables film goes with his turn in Ender’s Game – the controversial film based on Orsen Scott-Card’s novel of the same name – and a rumoured return to Star Wars in the J.J. Abrams-directed Episode VII.

Patrick Hughes will direct, and will start shooting the film very soon; a release date of August 15, 2014 has been set.
