The actress reveals her partner James Tupper called and told her Ford had been hospitalised in a serious condition after crash landing a vintage fighter plane on a golf course in California last week (05Mar15).

Heche, whose character was stranded on a desert island with Ford's after a plane crash in their 1998 movie, tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood Live, "I was getting off a plane from New York and my husband (sic) met me and said, 'I don't like to tell you bad news when you get off a plane, but I know that you would care very much that Harrison was just in an accident'.

"I actually sent Harrison some flowers and said, 'I guess I should have been there'... Our prayers are with him and his family and (wife) Calista (Flockhart)... We're amazed that he survived it... He's an incredible pilot... I would fly with him tomorrow."
