Gwyneth Paltrow is opening a hair salon.

The 40-year-old actress has teamed up with the people responsible for her own glossy locks, hairstylist David Babaii and trainer Tracy Anderson, to launch David Babaii Blow Dry Bar in Brentwood, California, on April 4.

David told People magazine: ''It's not just going to be a blowout bar. It's going to be 'Hey, why don't we do this style with your new body?' It's more about your lifestyle. There's no judgment.''

The salon is in keeping with Gwyneth's own eco-friendly lifestyle and will stock 14 cruelty-free products from David's eponymous haircare line - which don't contain sulfates, parabens or petrochemicals - to help fans achieve an A-list look.

The hair stylist added: ''It's all about healthy ingredients, healthy products. And not getting something that you can do at home.

''It's going to be a feel good bar. It'll be cool. If you want that sleek, straight Gwyneth look, great! If you want the Kate Hudson bohemian waves, great!''

Gwyneth follows in the footsteps of stylist to the stars Rachel Zoe, who opened a luxury New York blow dry salon called DreamDry in February.

The 'Sliding Doors' actress could face stiff competition from Rachel since she is gearing up to open several more salons across the US after taking a mammoth 3,000 bookings in just a few weeks.
