Goldie Hawn believes ''intention'' is the key to her 32-year relationship with Kurt Russell and says she has no worries about growing old.
Goldie Hawn thinks ''intention'' is the key to a successful relationship.
The 'First Wives Club' star has insisted ''compatibility and communication'' rather than marriage is the secret to her 32-year-old long romance with Kurt Russell.
She said: ''A lasting relationship isn't about marriage. It's about compatibility and communication.
''Intention is the key. It's also about not losing yourself in each other. Being together, two pillars holding up the house and the roof, and being different, not having to agree on everything, learning how to deal with not agreeing.''
The 69-year-old star also revealed she has no qualms about getting older and even joked it was ''wonderful'' because it meant she was alive.
She added to the June issue of Porter magazine: ''Getting older is a fact of life. By living mindfully you understand that there are many transitions in life. You just go through them.
''It's wonderful to know you're ageing, because that means you're still on the planet, right? It's all about how you make it. It's all in your mind.''
Meanwhile, Goldie previously admitted she doesn't worry about ageing as she just lives ''day-to-day''.
She said: ''I don't think about it. Sometimes I look and I go, 'Oh my God, I'm old; I'm older then I have ever been.' I don't relate to time very much, I think that's what it is -- I don't understand time, and that's kind of a philosophical thing, in terms of what is it, really?
''So I sort of live in terms of day-to-day. I dream long and far. I'm not living in time constraints, where suddenly I feel, well, I better do that, because I'm going to die soon -- because nobody knows when they're going to die, anyway.''
