British MC Ghostpoet's new single, 'Liiines', will be released on September 5th on Brownswood Recordings. It is the third and final single from his critically acclaimed debut album, 'Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam', which was nominated for the 2011 Barclaycard Mercury Prize for Album of the Year.
The video for 'Liiines' was directed by Nick Bentley, who has also worked with the bands 'Two Door Cinema Club' and 'Fenech Solar'. It shows Ghostpoet - real name Obaro Ejimiwe - in a small room, where he stands, lies down or sits at a desk, resting on his arms. He is also shown painting the walls of the room red.
Ghostpoet has already received praise from The Streets' singer Mike Skinner and British rapper Roots Manuva. Ghostpoet has performed successful sets this year at festivals Glastonbury, The Great Escape and Sonar. As well as announcing a UK tour starting in September, Ghostpoet has also been touring with Jamie Woon and Metronomy in recent months.
