Prince Albert of Monaco and his new bride exchanged vows for a second time on Saturday (02Jul11) in a lavish religious ceremony attended by stars including Gerard Butler and Naomi Campbell.
The royal married his fiancee Charlene Wittstock in a civil ceremony in front of family and friends at the principality's royal palace on Friday (01Jul11) and they followed it up a day later with a traditional Roman Catholic ceremony in the main courtyard of the royal palace in Monaco.
The newlyweds were cheered by thousands of well-wishers, and guests included supermodels Campbell and Karolina Kurkova, fashion designers Karl Lagerfeld and Giorgio Armani, actors Butler and Sir Roger Moore, and French singer Jean Michel Jarre, who performed for the couple after their Friday wedding.
A number of European royals were also in attendance including Britain's Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and his wife, and King Carl Xvi Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, while French president Nicolas Sarkozy was among the star-studded crowd.
The new Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco walked down the aisle in a silk Georgio Armani gown, studded with 40,000 glittering Swarovski crystals, with a veil and diamond tiara.
The blonde South African later changed into a white Armani Prive cocktail dress for the official reception and ball, which was held at Monaco's Opera Garnier.
