Fact: George Clooney is working on a feature film telling the story of the Syrian Civil Defense organisation. Volunteers for the group, commonly dubbed 'White Helmets', have worked to protect Syrian civilians during the country's ongoing civil war. According to editors at Variety magazine, the new movie will be based on director Orlando von Einsiedel's Oscar-nominated documentary short The White Helmets, and Clooney will produce alongside his regular production partner Grant Heslov.
