Amal Alamuddin has changed her surname to Clooney.

The 36-year-old human rights lawyer revealed her new name on her law firm Doughty Street Chambers' website after getting married to the Hollywood actor George Clooney in Venice on Saturday, September 27.

The beautiful brunette is now using the double barrel surname, Alamuddin Clooney, although it appears as though she will change her name professionally to just Amal Clooney.

The newly wed looked as though she was glowing as she returned to work in Athens, Greece following a whirlwind honeymoon which was partly spent in Oxfordshire, where the new couple are thought to have purchased a luxurious new home.

Amal looked chic in a white jacket and brown trousers as she arrived in the Greek capital where she will advise the government on how to regain ownership of the Elgin Marbles.

George also got back into his work schedule last week, after he was spotted in New York on Thursday (09.10.14) without his new wife for the first time since their extravagant wedding and honeymoon.

Before heading to Sonning Eye in Oxford for a mini-break, the couple reportedly enjoyed a brief post-wedding holiday in the Seychelles after his close friend Brad Pitt recommended the destination to him.

A source told X17Online.com: ''It's one of the most beautiful places on earth and George wanted to show Amal something even more amazing than Venice.

''It was the only place that could top off such an elaborate wedding.''
