Gavin Degraw has cancelled more concert dates following a street attack on Sunday (07.08.11).

The singer/songwriter has been advised to take a period of rest following the assault - which left him with a broken nose - in New York in the early hours of Sunday morning, meaning he will now not be on stage until later this month.

His representative said in a statement: "Due to the recent attack and resulting injuries, Gavin DeGraw has been advised by his doctor to take additional time to recover from his concussion, broken nose and other injuries."

Gavin - who is taking part on a tour with Maroon 5 and Train - will next be seen on stage in Columbia, Maryland on August 24.

Gavin took to twitter yesterday (10.08.11) to confirm he was doing well after the attack, which also saw him knocked down by a taxi, saying he could not remember much of the event.

He wrote: "Hi my friends. Honestly, I don't remember much. I only know I can recover from here. Thank u all for your genuine concern. I love u guys.(sic)"
