Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer

After the release of The Force Awakens at the end of 2015, Disney and Lucas films didn't mess around delivering the general public its first announcement/teaser for The Last Jedi back at the start of 2016. Now, well over a year later, we finally get to see some proper footage from the upcoming movie.

Many of the key cast from Star Wars: The Force Awakens will feature in The Last Jedi including Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren who famously slaughtered his much-loved father in a face to face battle that made for one of the most pivotal scenes in the history of Star Wars.

As ever with new Star Wars releases, the scrip and the story outline is one of Hollywood's most closely guarded secrets and few official details have been released to the public. We do know that the story will pick up where The Force Awakens ended with Rey going off into a mountainous setting to hunt down Luke Skywalker in a bid to train with him and learn his knowledge.

Gary Barlow's Embarrassed His Hair Makes More 'noise' Than His Music

Gary Barlow

Gary Barlow is embarrassed his hair care has made more ''noise'' than the release of his music.

The 46-year-old singer - who is the lead vocalist in the boy band Take that - has recently admitted to not washing his locks since 1995, and the star has admitted he is shocked that news has made bigger headlines than when he releases records or stars in a new show.

The 'Let It Shine' judge told the Metro newspaper: ''I think I've got it wrong. I found a clip from 1995 and, actually, I haven't washed it since then. I'd been in LA and we has a different make-up artist who put really waxy stuff in my hair and I just couldn't get it clean.

Gary Barlow's 'Let It Shine' Drops Behind 'The Voice' In Second Week Ratings

Gary Barlow Take That

Having been a ratings winner in its first week, Gary Barlow’s new BBC talent show ‘Let It Shine’ has reportedly slumped behind its ITV rival ‘The Voice UK’ in the viewing figures for its second episode last weekend.

The Sun reported that, having pulled in 6.8 million viewers for its launch the previous weekend, Saturday night’s show (January 14th) lost more than a million viewers to clock figures of 5.7 million. Still impressive, but it was also said to be less than ‘The Voice’ over on the other channel, a crucial aspect.

“It’s the first time that people at home have been able to choose which show they wanted to watch – and more people have gone with ‘The Voice’,” a source told the tabloid over the weekend.

Barlow himself was brought in to replace Simon Cowell after he quit the show in 2010 to launch x factor USA. “There’s no question she’s the head judge. The mug – I can’t even find it. It’s gone. She has been in and stood on it. She’s the queen. She’s back.” He added: “It’s been brilliant having her back. Gary Barlow Joins Chris Evans For Cross Country Charity Trip In Pink Rolls Royce

Gary Barlow Chris Evans Brian Cox James May

Gary Barlow and Chris Evans make an unlikely driving team as they travel up and down the country in a pink Rolls Royce in a bid to raise £1 million for Breast Cancer Care. They are joined by James May, the Top Gear presenter and Brian Cox, the TV science bod. The four celebrities are driving from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise £1 million for Breast Cancer Care.

The FAB1 Million Challenge kicked off this morning, with the celebs heading off in the Rolls Royce, after Chris Evans finished his TV show. They’re expecting to finish in Scotland at about 4am on Friday morning (April 19, 2013) according to the Metro and they’ll be stopping off in Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Glasgow. The Take That singer, Gary Barlow, said: “If we can raise £1million it will be amazing. The car is incredible. I can’t wait to drive it, I’ve been designated as the tour chef and I’m going to dig my camping stove out, give it a dust-off and bring some food with me. I’m hoping along the way we get lots of support from the country.”

The fundraising idea was thought up by Chris Evans, who explained that they plan to use the car after the trip to continue raising money for the charity, by making it available to hire. “FAB1 Million aims to raise a million pounds for breast cancer, it’s as simple as that,” explained the radio DJ. “You can hire the most famous Rolls Royce in the world as the icing on the cake to whatever special event you are attending, knowing that you are donating to a very worthy cause in the process. It’s a win-win situation.”

Gary Barlow Folds Record Label To Be With His Family, Also It's Gone Bust

Gary Barlow

Yesterday (Dec 29) it was announced that Gary Barlow would be disbanding his record label, Future Records, with the Take That man saying the reason behind the label's folding was so that he could spend more time with his family - however the fact that the label has lost £4 million over its short lifespan probably has something to do with it.

Future Records was founded by Barlow in 2009, and despite signing a number of promising acts, including rapper Aggro Santos and Sky TV talent show winner Emma’s Imagination, the label failed to ever set the charts alight and thus amassed loses of £4 million. This is something Barlow neglected to mention when he announced he was calling it quits with the label, telling The Sun earlier this week: "It's been a very difficult decision but it came down to time. I've had a lot going on recently and I want to spend more time with my family."

Today though, Barlow's financial indescrpencies have seeped into public knowledge, when a source close to Barlow revealed: “Gary’s label wasn’t making enough money or generating any success. It’s as simple as that."

Gary Barlow To Sell Off His Record Company So He Can Spend Time With His Family

Gary Barlow

Gary Barlow really couldn't make himself any more endearing to people, as his next act will be to sell his record company, Future Records, so that he can spend more time with his family. What a guy.

The Take That and Diamond Jubilee mastermind told The Sun that he is tired of juggling so many different responsibilities, and the first of his duties to go is Future Records. The artists signed to Future Records, which includes Aggro Santos amongst others, will now be re-housed by Future's parent company Universal.

Barlow told the newspaper: "It's been a very difficult decision but it came down to time. I've had a lot going on recently and I want to spend more time with my family."

Christmas Number One: The Race Is On

James Arthur The X Factor Simon Cowell Sir Paul McCartney Melanie C Rage Against The Machine Matt Cardle Robbie Williams Gary Barlow

With only nine days left until the big day, the race is on to see who will be sitting atop the UK Singles Chart this christmas, with the charity Hillsborough single battling it out with X Factor winner James Arthur for the coveted Christmas No. 1.

Only a few years ago, it was pretty much a given that the festive number one spot would go to The X Factor or Pop Idol/Popstars winner, however the competition has gotten a little more heated in recent years for for a number of reasons, and unlike before there is an air of uncertainty as to who will walk away with this year's number one spot at Christmas.

Girls Aloud were the first to do it back in 2002, when 'Sound in the Underground' took the Yuletide top spot. Then, from Shayne Ward in 2005 to Alexandra Burke in 2008, Simon Cowell's creations had that top spot wrapped up like dad's songs on Christmas Eve. That all changed when a successful Facebook campaign saw Rage Against The Machine's 1991 debut single 'Killing In The Name' take the top spot away from that years' winner, and thus outrage erupted (even though all profits RATM made were donated to charity, as opposed to Simon Cowell's already bulging wallet). Even though Matt Cardle managed to come up trumps the next year with 'When We Collide,' 2011 again saw a change in the wind when the choir ensemble Military Wives with Gareth Malone took the Xmas top spot with their rendition of 'Wherever You Are.' This time round though, SiCo was a little more forgiving.

Cheryl Cole Answers Simon Cowell's SOS For X-Factor Return

Cheryl Cole Simon Cowell The X Factor Gary Barlow Nicole Scherzinger Louis Walsh Girls Aloud

In potentially worrying news for Nicole Scherzinger, Cheryl Cole has flown to Los Angeles for showdown talks with Simon Cowell about returning to x factor. The show has been blighted by poor viewing figures, poor acts and a pretty appalling judging panel this year and Cowell is ready to bring back the Girls Aloud star.

It's thought that either Cowell himself or Cole must return to the judging panel for the show to regain any sort of credibility. Gary Barlow hasn't made the grade as head judge, while Nicole Scherzinger doesn't appear to be gelling with the British public. Louis Walsh is never going to leave, so there's little point in even speculating. Anyway, it's likely that either Nicole or Gary will leave at the end of the current season, paving the way for Cheryl to get back into the hot seat. The Geordie singer arrived at Simon Cowell's Los Angeles mansion at 8pm on Wednesday (November 28, 2012) and stayed for three-and-a-half hours, according to the Daily Mirror. It is thought the two were discussing Cheryl's return to X Factor, which Cowell sees as a way of reinvigorating the ailing show. The meeting comes 18 months after he sensationally sacked Cheryl from the US version of the singing show after just a couple of weeks of auditions.

In his recent biography, Cowell he admitted falling for Cole during their time working together. The music mogul, 52, told friends he was "mesmerised" by Cheryl, adding, "I would have liked an affair with her. I felt like a mouse being played with by a beautiful cat."  Bit weird.

Good News For Take That Fans - New Album Due In 2013

Take That Gary Barlow Andrew Lloyd Webber

Gary Barlow has announced that Take That will start work on a new album next year and they’ve got none other than Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber on board to help out with the songwriting. Quite what that will mean for the man-band isn’t clear but hopefully they’re not going to go all jazz-hands and stage musical on us.

In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Barlow confirmed “I have got a lot of Take That stuff next year and then, hopefully, a tour the year after. A new studio album feels right for us, it has always been in our minds.” He added “The band cycles are obvious. Everyone wanted a year off this year, and now everybody can't wait to get back into the studio in February and that is what we are going to do. So, hopefully, an album for Christmas and a tour the following year.” The band have been enjoying their renaissance, after splitting in 1996 and then getting back together in 2008.

Fans will no doubt be wondering just how long they’re expecting to carry on, but Barlow assured them “We’re far from over. We’re all creative, we’re singers and songwriters. There’s plenty left in us, don’t worry… Mark’s solo album is out next year. I was talking to him about it earlier today and he’s very excited about it.” Good news then… now all we need to figure out is whether or not Robbie’s going to stick with them at all.

Robbie Williams Live 02 Gig Shows He's Still Got It

Robbie Williams Gary Barlow Alan Carr

For someone who spends more time holding out his microphone to the audience, ironically meaning the crowd do most of the leg work at his concerts, Robbie Williams can still attract the crowds. His latest show - at the 02 London - had gone down marvellously.

He was even given a Twitter boost by his pal and old band mate, Gary Barlow, who posted, "Have a great show tonight @robbiewilliams #O2london", and after the show, celebrity praise was ample, with comedian Alan Carr tweeting, "Just seen @robbiewilliams at the 02 - amazing - what a showman!! Now how can I get him on @chattyman hmmmmn!!!!" The Telegraph were perhaps the most doting, however, giving the show a 5 star review, writing, "The show was staged in the round and it felt fitting because we were seeing many sides of Williams - the self deprecating comedian making cracks about the Queen not recognising him, the Norman Wisdom impersonator and the great British pop icon."

"Tonight was triumphant," the review went onto say. "A reminder that Robbie Williams remains one of the national treasures of British pop. 'They said it was leaving me, the magic was leaving me' he had sung earlier on 'Be A Boy', adding 'I don't think so.' I don't think so either, Robbie." So it looks like Robbie's still got it!

Arise Sir Kenneth: Kenneth Branagh Knighted By The Queen At Buckingham Palace

Kenneth Branagh Gary Barlow Danny Boyle

Actor/writer/director and all round renaissance-man Kenneth Branagh received his knighthood today at Buckingham Palace by Queen Elizabeth II, having been told of his accolade following the announcement of Queen's birthday honours in June this year.

Sir Kenneth, who is perhaps best known for his Shakespearean roles both in front and behind the camera, also played a part in this year's Olympic opening ceremony, donning the trademark stove-pipe hat as he played Britain's most famous industrialist Sir Isambard Kingdom Brunel at the start of Danny Boyle's breathtaking spectacle.

Branagh was not the only person honoured in the Birthday list from the entertainment industry, with X Factor judge and Diamond Jubilee organiser Gary Barlow recognised with an OBE for his services to the entertainment industry and to charity. Comedy writer Armando Iannucci, known for his work on sitcoms such as The Thick Of It and I'm Alan Partridge, was also given an OBE in the honours.

Banter-Barlow: Rylan Clark Confirms Gary Barlow Feud Is A Sham

Gary Barlow Rylan Clark Kourtney Kardashian

Rylan Clark has confirmed what we all kind of knew to be true. His feud with Gary Barlow is all for the show and when the cameras stop rolling, Barlow is “lovely” to him. The immaculately-facial-haired wannabe pop star is doing a pretty good job of deconstructing the fragile mythology surrounding X Factor and all of the drama that supposedly goes on between the judges and the contestants and talking to ITN News, he’s rubber-stamped our suspicions about Barlow’s apparent disdain for the weak-voiced one.

When asked if Gary Barlow picks on any of the contestants, Rylan said “Barlow’s fine… I love Gary, I think Gary’s lovely… do you know what, tensions get so high in that studio, honestly, it’s like, every judge for their act… it’s banter-Barlow off-stage.” Still, whether it’s genuine or not, those snarky comments between Gary and Rylan are probably still the most entertaining part of the programmes, so far.

Rylan was speaking to ITN at the launch of Kim and Kourtney Kardashian’s new fashion range for Dorothy Perkins, which was unveiled at London’s Aqua nightclub last night (November 8, 2012). The X Factor finalists were all on hand to support reality TV stars Kim and Kourtney and The Daily Mail have shown all of them posing for photos with the two glamorous sisters. Liverpudlian cheeseball Christopher Malone even managed not to break down and cry at the enormity of the situation. Well done Chris!

X-Factor's Christopher Maloney Comes Under Fire From Peers

Gary Barlow The X Factor

Christopher Maloney, who started his X-Factor career as a quivering mess, has turned his fate around and is now the only contestant left in Gary Barlow's over-28s category. However, at least one of this year's contestants doesn't think Maloney is playing fair and square... in fact, they don't even like him.

The Sun has spoken to Kye Sones who was booted out this weekend. According to Sones, when asked why he thinks Maloney is still in the running, "God knows. He must have an expensive phone bill!"

"All of us have got really close and then you've got Chris. We've been a really strong group and he's been an outsider - and that's nothing to do with any of us lot." He said, "He's very tactical. There are two different people - one when cameras are there and one when they're not there... I'm just glad that, from day one, I have not lied and have been very honest and that was my main thing and I can walk away with my head held high." Plus, according to the Mirror, a member of staff on the show said "I've seen [Maloney] dialling and redialling his own number over and over again. It's sad really but he wants it that much that he is spending a fortune." They also said that an unnamed production executive said, "You can't outlaw this sort of behaviour but it leaves a very sour taste. It's against the spirit of the show."

Gary Barlow Honoured For 'Inspiring Goodwill' By Prince Charles

Gary Barlow Prince Charles

Gary Barlow was praised for 'inspiring goodwill' by the Prince of Wales as the royal presented him with the prestigious Music Industry Award for his recognised efforts in the industry.

Prince Charles showed his admiration for the Take That singer's achievements at the award ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, even labelling him a 'national treasure'. 'Over the past 25 years, you have become one of the great stars of the British music industry and you are the very embodiment of that rare species, a national treasure', he told the popstar. 'It seems to me you inspire goodwill wherever you go and your appeal transcends the ages, a very rare feat if I may say so.'

The 'X Factor' judge duly accepted the award making clear how honoured he felt to be presented with it and how much performing music means to him. 'I've been doing this for 22 years now, and the one thing that's more apparent to me than ever before is how much I love performing', he said. 'To be able to do it, I feel really lucky, I never want to turn my back on it. It's so special when you get something like this, because it's recognised within the industry. I'm a lover of this industry, I'd do anything to protect it, and when you're given something from that industry, I'm honoured.'

Can 'Candy' Take The Crown? Robbie Williams Headed For Number One

Robbie Williams Gary Barlow Rylan Clark Greg James Labrinth Fun

Robbie Williams last scored a number one single in 2004 but the former Take That star looks as though he’s heading for the top of the charts this weekend 'with his latest single ‘Candy,’ according to NME.com. It’s the first single to be taken from his forthcoming album Take The Crown and has sold 73,000 copies so far, since its release.

Sales will have been buoyed by his appearance on last week’s X Factor show, during which he joked with his Take That pal Gary Barlow about his support for the controversial contestant on the show, Rylan Clark. When he was asked by Radio One’s Greg James (who presents the station’s weekly official chart show) what he would do if he got the number one slot this Sunday (November 4, 2012), he replied that he would “stay in, look for UFOs, get fat and beardy again.” Robbie’s last number one single was ‘Radio,’ which coincided with the release of his Greatest Hits album in 2004. His ninth studio album, Take The Crown, will be released on November 5, 2012.

Last week, Labrinth and Emeli Sande’s duet ‘Our Version Of Events’ also hit the top spot, after they had performed live on X Factor, though they have slipped to third place, in the midweek charts analysis. The X Factor effect shouldn’t be underestimated. Fun have just leapt 29 places with ‘We Are Young’, after they also appeared on the TV talent contest in the UK.

Did X Factor’s James Arthur Rip Off YouTube Star Noah? (Videos)

The X Factor James Arthur Gary Barlow Louis Walsh

x factor star James Arthur has been accused of ripping off a YouTube star for his latest performance on the reality show. Arthur, 24, performed a stripped back acoustic version of LMFAO’s Sexy and I Know It on Saturday’s show and won praise from all four judges.

The arrangement of the song was certainly refreshing and Arthur was easily one of the better performers on the night, though his rendition has drawn comparisons to a YouTube singer known as Only1Noah. His version of the track – uploaded five months ago – has since received 13.5 million hits and features the exact same arrangement as Arthur’s track. Noah had added the caption, “Okay guys! So I've actually always wanted to cover this and I finally arranged a version of it that I hope you like!” Disgruntled fans of the YouTube star have taken to the video’s comments section to vent their anger, with one user saying, “James Arthur should be axed from the show for his disgraceful talent of stealing other people's work. Shame on him seriously.”

Gary Barlow's Solo Concert Run Sells Out Straight Away

Gary Barlow

Gary Barlow has smashed all expectations with his latest string of solo concerts, selling out his run of gigs in just minutes, according to the man himself on Twitter.

With his recent spat with just about everyone on The X Factor, Gary has been looking more and more likely to go his separate way from the show, and with this encouraging reception he has already received for his duo of solo gigs, he might be considering throwing in the towel on the talent show even more.

It has been 11 years since Gary performed his last solo show, and clearly his presence on the road has been missed as tickets for two upcoming shows sold out within an hour of going on sale when they were put online at 9am this morning (Oct 19). The two concerts will take place on the 5th and 6th of December and will go towards raising funds for youth charity The Prince's Trust and The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry.

Postman Pat To Take On 'X Factor'? Gary Barlow Signs Up For New Film

Gary Barlow

Gary Barlow might be raging at 'X Factor' at the moment, but he'll have a chance to get his own back on Simon Cowell by appearing in the new Postman Pat film - sort of. In an interview with the Daily Star over the weekend, the Take That man came out in an astonishing attack on his current employers, admitting that he almost quit after the recent fix scandal that saw Louis Walsh save novelty act Rylan Clarke instead of country singer Carolynne Poole.

Now Barlow will be singing in front of Cowell, or "an oily, smarmy" version of him called Simon Cowbell in the film as the famous post man. For the rest of the movie the role of Pat will be played by former 'Green Wing' star Stephen Mangan. Mangan commented "There are songs like 'Wait A Minute Mr Postman' and 'Signed, Sealed Delivered.'" He also said "I was so excited when I got that job. I said to my five year old son Harry: 'I'm Postman Pat,' and he said: 'No you're not'" before quipping "Still, therapy will sort that out!"

Barlow was less light hearted when talking to the Star about 'X Factor'. "Straight away after what happened last week I thought I don't want to do this -any more" he fumed. "I just thought 'this isn't the way I imagined it to be."

Gary Barlow "Gutted" After Contestant Melanie Masson's Elimination From The X Factor

Gary Barlow The X Factor

The Take That singer admitted on Twitter to being extremely disappointed after another one of his contestants left the talent show last night. The 44-year-old Melanie Masson was eliminated after entering a singoff with boyband District 3.

The judges vote was deadlocked again in a repeat of last weekend's elimination of Caroline Poole. While Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger voted to save Melanie, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh chose to support District 3, leaving the final choice to the viewers. This week the public vote went in favour of District 3 and Masson was eliminated from the competition.

Her final performance was a rendition of Stay with Me, demonstrated her considerable vocal abilities, but was just not enough to help her stay in the competition.

Gary Barlow has allegedly threatened to quit the UK version of the X Factor following his falling out with fellow judge Louis Walsh over an apparent voting scam.

According to Perez Hilton, the feud stretches back to last Sunday’s show (October 7, 2012) Walsh, who was seemingly gunning for contestant Carolynne Poole to progress to the next round, was instructed by the show’s producer Richard Holloway (who is said to be best friends with Simon Cowell) to vote in a particular way that would ultimately lead to Poole being eliminated from the show. Now Gary, who is head judge on the show, is not a happy bunny at all and after a spat with Louis, the former Take That star is now threatening to leave the show amidst the controversy.
Gary, who immediately stormed off the set after the result was announced, is said to have had a meeting with the show’s execs afterwards to give his ultimatum: no more faking, otherwise he is leaving.

Gary isn’t the only one to clock on to the unusual voting habits either, as an estimated 1,000 people called into the show and an independent media watchdog to complain about how the show was being run.

Gary Barlow And Louis Walsh Bury The Hatchet But Boycott Threats Remain

The X Factor Gary Barlow Louis Walsh

X-Factor judges Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh managed to put their differences behind them on a night out, but the threat of a fan boycott of the show remains, as the public reels after the fixing scandal, The Sun reports.

Barlow stormed off stage after Louis Walsh sent his vote to deadlock on the show but now the pair have met up for the first time since their public bust up to clear the air. A close friend of Gary’s said: “A general meeting had been in the diary for months, but Gary used it to speak to Louis for the first time and to hold his own mini crisis meeting to make sure he got the show back on track.” The source went on to say: “He wants The X Factor to be all about the music. It was a pretty frank discussion and at the beginning he could barely mention Louis’ name. “But they have made some agreements and Gary is confident that nothing like what happened on Sunday will happen again.”

The X Factor was plunged into a fixing scandal when Louis was seen to have a stern conversation with one of the show’s staff, now known to be head producer, Richard Holloway. This sparked concerns that the show was predetermined, with many fans stating their intention to not watch the show any more. Not quite a world changing, socially important protest, but a protest nonetheless.

Will 'X Factor' Boycott Upset Weekend Viewer Ratings?

Is an x factor 2012 boycott on the cards? According to the Daily Record, a huge number of fans, including some celebrity viewers of the show – have decided that after last Sunday’s fiasco (October 7, 2012), they will no longer tune into the show. 'X Factor' has been plagued with allegations of results fixing, since one of the show’s producer’s was seen “crawling along the studio floor to have a word” with X Factor judge Louis Walsh.

Louis initially seemed to opt to save Carolynne Poole, from Leeds who was undoubtedly the more talented singer in the sing-off. However, Louis then back-pedalled and eventually said that he wanted to the vote to go to a deadlock, meaning that camp Rylan got through on public votes. Fans of the show were outraged; the actress Tamsin Outhwaite vowed not to watch the show again, saying “I feel free knowing I will never watch 'X Factor' again after last night’s fiasco. My weekends are mine again.” The comedian James Corden also branded the decision ”bullsh*t.”

The producer who spoke to Walsh during the sing-off was 62 year-old Richard Holloway. He released a statement to defend himself and the show against allegations of fixing, which read “We regularly chat to the judges during the show…On Sunday I was telling Louis the order the judges would vote in. We don’t tell the judges how to vote.” A show source said that Sunday night’s show had been “a shambles.” This could go either way for 'X Factor'. Disgruntled pessimists convinced of foul play may decide to leave the house for a change on a Saturday night. On the other hand, the rest of the country might start tuning in to see what all this fuss is about. And many viewers will simply want to see if Gary Barlow has stopped sulking about it all, yet.

Who Is The Mystery X-Factor Producer At Centre Of Fix Storm?

The X Factor has - once again - found itself at the centre of a 'fixing' scandal after a producer on the show was spotted crouching beside judge Louis Walsh, appearing to relay information ahead of the evening's tense judges' vote.

Country singer Carolynne Pool and the flamboyant, if heavily criticised Rylan Clark, had found themselves in the bottom two on Sunday (Oct 7), forcing them to sing for survival. Yorkshire-born Carolynne offered a reasonably pleasant rendition of Faith Hill's 'There You'll Be', though the talking-point of the performance came when cameras panned over the judging desk where a producer was seen whispering to Louis Walsh. Afterwards, the Irish-manager appeared give Carolynne his vote, though when asked to clarify his decision by host Dermot O'Leary he opted to save Rylan and therefore take the vote to deadlock, where the female singer lost out.

Head judge Gary Barlow appeared so disgusted by the result that he walked of the set, while speculation began to flare online that the plan was always to have Rylan advance to next week's show. Speaking on Radio Aire Breakfast with Rich and Naomi this week, Carolynne said she had noticed the conversation whilst singing, ".it was a bit off putting to be honest..." she added.

Cheryl Cole All Set For Strictly Come Dancing Performance

Cheryl Cole Gary Barlow Kimberley Walsh Nicola Roberts

The BBC have confirmed that Cheryl Cole will appear as a music guest on the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, for an episode set to air in mid-November. The singer will be performing her new single ‘Screw You’ on the show, on what will be a live recording.

Around the same time, Cole (née Tweedy) will also be making a return to The X Factor as part of the judge’s home segment of the show, in which she will offer advice and a few pointers to the budding singers. She will sit alongside judge Gary Barlow as he mentors his batch of hopefuls. The two supposedly hatched the plan for Cheryl to return to the show during the celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, for which Barlow served as the curator.

As well as the ITV reunion, Cheryl could also be making another reunion when she joins the BBC show to perform, this time with her former Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh. Kimberley is set to be one of this year’s contestants and should she still be in the competition by the time Cheryl makes her appearance, it would mark a potentially emotional reunion between the two. Kimberley recently revealed to the press that it was Cheryl’s influence that made her join the reality show, admitting that she and fellow Girls Aloud member Nicola Roberts urged her to do the show.

Gary Barlow’s performance of Sing at the Classic Brits will feature an accompaniment from the group, Military Wives, reports The Metro.

Sing, the single that made Prince Harry the first royal to top the charts, is up for the Classical Brit Awards ‘single of the year award’ after shooting to number one in the singles chart, while the album of the same name took the top spot in the albums chart. The successful choir group Military Wives will perform the song, whilst Barlow and Andrew Lloyd Webber - the composers of the single for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations - will appear on stage at the awards show playing grand pianos. “The Classic Brits is something I’ve never done before, so I’m very excited to be a part of it,” explained Barlow. “It’ll be nice to get everyone back together for a performance of Sing as we’ve only ever performed it once together live.”

In My Dreams – the first studio album from Military Wives - topped the charts and got them into the top ten of the Classic FM Hall Of Fame. Opera singer Russell Watson will also be performing at the event after having to cancel his appearance at the event last year due to health problems.
