The actress thinks the superhero is an "open character".
One of this year's biggest successes in cinema is DC Extended Universe release, 'Wonder Woman'. Led by Gal Gadot and directed by the brilliant Patty Jenkins, the film was the first female-directed superhero flick EVER, and grossed over $800 million worldwide during its movie theatre run.
Chris Pine and Gal Gadot star in 'Wonder Woman'
Not only a commercial success, the film has been a critical darling and inspired thousands across the globe thanks to its brilliant lead character. Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman is certainly one of the most misunderstood DC Comics characters of all time, so to see her really allowed to shine here was something beautiful.

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot has shown her support for two Sri Lankan cosplayers who were mocked online after they dressed up as the Marvel heroine.
The two fans dressed up as Gadot’s character for Comic Con 2017 in Colombo, Sri Lanka , but soon found themselves subjected to cruel jokes and comments when their image circulated online.

The planet is in turmoil. Superman is apparently dead and crime rates have surged around the world as a result. But there's more than just petty theft and random assaults out there; mankind are under threat from an alien general named Steppenwolf who, with his terrible army of Parademons, are causing devastation as they search far and wide for three mysterious Mother Boxes hidden on Earth. The people need help, and so Bruce Wayne brings back Gotham's hero - Batman - and enlists the assistance of Wonder Woman to form a new legion of heroes. They, along with Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash, must protect the world from total destruction at the hands of Steppenwolf and, ultimately, his boss Darkseid. They're all very different heroes, with very different ideas about fighting villains, but there's one thing they all have in common - a desire for justice.

The movie will follow up this year's box office hit.
'Wonder Woman' went down a treat this summer, so fans will be more than happy with the news that the script for 'Wonder Woman 2' is already being written. The cast and crew revealed the news ahead of their panel discussion at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend.

Few details have been announced about the forthcoming sequel, but we already know that Diana Prince will be coming to America the next time round. The first film's director Patty Jenkins may or may not be returning, and she's even revealed that she had been telling herself that she doesn't have to stick with 'Wonder Woman' for round two.

The first installment in the DC hit-franchise is still fresh in our minds, but details are emerging about the sequel.
Wonder Woman may still be showing on the silver screen, but it seems as though the sequel to the hit film is already in the works with multiple reports that Diana Prince will again find herself in a war zone, this time in the 1980s Cold War. The rumours started courtesy of inside sources at ScreenRant, with suspicions being confirmed by The Wrap.
In amongst the rumours is also the news that Chris Pine could return as Steve Trevor in the second instalment of the franchise. No other news has been made available, but we already know that Patty Jenkins is working on the DC film with boss Geoff Johns.

A clear winner with the critics and currently sitting with over $250 million in the worldwide box office, DC Extended Universe movie 'Wonder Woman' is obviously one of the most exciting and thrilling superhero films of the modern day. Finally bringing the titular hero to the big screen for her first big budget Hollywood movie, 'Wonder Woman' has proven that the DCEU can be a success, following the critically panned first trilogy of films 'Man of Steel', 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 'Suicide Squad'.

The 'Wonder Woman' star didn't find all of her training easy.
Gal Gadot has had to put some serious work into her latest film 'Wonder Woman', particularly in a physical sense, but there were some aspects of her training that she had no idea would be as hard as they turned out to be. One of them was horseback riding.
Gal Gadot stars in 'Wonder Woman'
The 32-year-old Israeli actress had to learn all kinds of martial arts and sword fighting techniques months ahead of filming Patty Jenkins' DC blockbuster hit, all while getting her body into shape because there's really no way of pretending to be that athletic and unyielding.

Gal Gadot talks about her Wonder Woman ambitions
After debuting in her role as Wonder Woman in last year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and arguably stealing the film out from under its stars, hopes have been high for Gal Gadot's stand-alone Wonder Woman movie, the first female-centred superhero movie directed by a female filmmaker, Patty Jenkins.

Born in Israel, Gadot completed her required military service and was crowned Miss Israel in 2004, then went on to compete in the Miss Universe pageant before bursting onto movie screens in 2008's Fast & Furious.

Boldly optimistic, this action-packed adventure breathes fresh life into the DC universe with a welcome balance of comedy, flirtation and a sense of righteous justice. And at the centre, Gal Gadot is a hugely engaging hero with a refreshing moral clarity to her actions. So even if the movie dissolves into the usual murky digital mayhem in its final act, there's a bright light at the centre that holds us in its grip.
While the Great War rages in Europe, life carries on as usual on the secret island home of the Amazons, where Diana (Gadot) has been raised by her mother Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen) and trained by her aunt General Antiope (Robin Wright). When American spy Steve (Chris Pine) crash-lands there, Diana quickly agrees to return with him to war-torn Europe, track down God of War Aries and put an end to the fighting for good. Awed by her fighting prowess and skimpy outfit, Steve agrees to take her. They return to London to confront a smug politician (David Thewlis) and assemble a team so they can return to the front on a mission to take down the nefarious German General Ludendorff (Danny Huston) and his chemical weapons scientist Maru (Elena Anaya). But Diana is still looking for Aries.
Director Patty Jenkins tells this story like an old-fashioned war epic, following a rag-tag group of good guys as they go through a series of battles on their way to the big confrontation. Along the way, there's plenty of comedy banter, dark emotion and even some lusty romance. Putting a woman at the centre of the action gives the movie a strongly resonant slant, especially because she's surrounded by men who always underestimate her.

This training session didn't exactly go the way Conan O'Brien planned.
If there's one thing you can say about Gal Gadot, it's that she's got a hell of a lot of stamina. Her portrayal of DC superhero Diana Prince in 'Wonder Woman' is relentless from what we've seen so far, and it's all down to months of training as she explained to Conan O'Brien.
Gal Gadot at the 'Wonder Woman' premiere
Conan wanted to see if he could become as fit as Wonder Woman in 35 minutes on his show, as Gal Gadot looked on in amusement with her Czech trainer Rudolf Vrba. Together they practised sword-fighting, kicking and, weirdly, the can-can.

Diana Prince is one of the Amazon warriors of Themyscira, a tribe of women with extraordinary power. There is no-one quite as extraordinary, however, as Diana herself. After being shown the noble Sword of Athena as a young girl, our heroine becomes determined to be the one who wields it, training in all areas of combat. When her incredible powers start to shine through, her mother Hippolyta does not want to tell her the truth about her creation. As oblivious as she is to the secrets of her birthright, she becomes determined to save the world after rescuing a marooned military pilot named Steve Trevor. When he informs her of the danger that her kind faces, she insists on going with him to win the war and save the world. Of course, London is hardly the place she wants to be, but she finds new friendships in Steve and his quirky secretary Etta Candy.

Superman is missing from the 'Justice League' trailer.
The first major trailer for 'Justice League' has finally dropped and it tells us a lot about what to expect in the forthcoming DC movie. Following directly on from 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', we meet the majority of the team and the dangers they're set to face.
[L-R] The Flash, Superman, Cyborg, Wonder Woman, Batman and Aquaman make up the Justice League
We see Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) having taken a long journey somewhere, most likely to track down Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) in an isolated fishing village. Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is the first to unite with Bruce as he gathers the Justice League, both spurred by the brave sacrifice of their friend Clark Kent (Henry Cavill). Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) is a little shocked to be recruited, especially while he's got his own problems to deal with such as his father Henry Allen (Billy Crudup) being in prison.

Ewen Bremner feared he would have to hide his Scottish accent in 'Wonder Woman'.
The 45-year-old actor is set to star in the forthcoming superhero film alongside Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, and although Bremner's role has been kept under wraps, he has admitted he thought he would have to ditch his twang to suit the movie, and was ''shocked'' to learn he didn't actually have to try his best to not let any hints of his mother tongue slip through.
Speaking to Metro newspaper about the movie, he said: ''I don't know, because it is really under wraps. I was shocked they let me be properly Scottish in it. I was expecting the Americans would ask me to gentrify my accent a little bit, or the humour even, but they let me go as far as I liked. I had plenty of fun on it.''

Hollywood superstars in the making.
Every year a deluge of new talent floods the movie theatres and 2016 was no different. Some stars, the likes of Sofia Boutella ('Star Trek Beyond'), Travis Fimmel ('Warcraft'), Zoey Deutch ('Why Him?'), Jack Huston ('Ben-Hur') and Aidan Turner ('Poldark'), are the kind of actors that have been around for a while, but have only this year managed to land leading roles. Others have broken through with immense force after almost total obscurity:
Millie Bobby Brown at the 68th Emmy Awards
1. Millie Bobby Brown - Matt and Ross Duffer couldn't have imagined the kind of success their 80s inspired supernatural TV series 'Stranger Things' would have, but arguably the world's favourite thing about that show is Millie Bobby Brown, who plays telekinetic labrat Eleven. For a while it was up in the air as to whether or not she would return for the second series given the mysterious fate of her character in the first season's final episode, but recent confirmations suggest we haven't seen the last of her.
There's no stopping this extraordinary superheroine.
Wonder Woman displays the extent of her powers in the new trailer for the film, which delves into Diana Prince's desire to end the War and hints at a terrible personal tragedy. It's set to be one of the most important upcoming DC films yet, apart from perhaps 'Justice League'.
Wonder Woman hits theatres in June 2017
We learnt in the 'Wonder Woman' Comic-Con teaser that Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) was a goddess who had never seen a man before, but nonetheless left with US Army pilot Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) to help him fight World War II when he washed up on the shores of her Amazonian island. We saw soldiers invade her island and the Amazons fighting back, Diana in her armoured costume using her Lasso of Truth and later crossing No Man's Land like a boss.

Also known as Wonder Woman.
We may have already seen Diana Prince in action following 'Batman v Superman', but this ultimate female heroine has been given even more of a makeover ahead of the spin-off movie 'Wonder Woman''s release next year starring Gal Gadot.
Wonder Woman to hit theaters next summer
In new images released of Wonder Woman in all her costume glory, she's giving us a kind of Jedi-Spartan vibe. It's far from the bright red and blue colours of former times; after all Diana Prince has been around for thousands of years, that means her outfit has to look just as ancient.

Gadot is being directed by Patty Jenkins in 'Wonder Woman’s' first stand-alone movie.
Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot has dished on why she thinks it was important that a female director oversaw the heroine’s big screen debut. While more female directors are always needed in Hollywood, Gadot believes a woman behind the camera was particularly necessary for this film.
Gal Gadot has said it was important that Wonder Woman had a female director.
When asked how important was it for her that a woman direct the movie by Entertainment Weekly, Gadot said: “I think it’s important. It’s a story about a girl becoming a woman. I think only a woman, who has been a girl, can be able to tell the story in the right way.”

He believes Superman is to blame for all the horror the Earth has been faced with, and vows to take him despite his limited abilities.
