Justice League Trailer

The planet is in turmoil. Superman is apparently dead and crime rates have surged around the world as a result. But there's more than just petty theft and random assaults out there; mankind are under threat from an alien general named Steppenwolf who, with his terrible army of Parademons, are causing devastation as they search far and wide for three mysterious Mother Boxes hidden on Earth. The people need help, and so Bruce Wayne brings back Gotham's hero - Batman - and enlists the assistance of Wonder Woman to form a new legion of heroes. They, along with Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash, must protect the world from total destruction at the hands of Steppenwolf and, ultimately, his boss Darkseid. They're all very different heroes, with very different ideas about fighting villains, but there's one thing they all have in common - a desire for justice.

Gal Gadot Was Pregnant Whilst Filming 'Wonder Woman'

Gal Gadot

A clear winner with the critics and currently sitting with over $250 million in the worldwide box office, DC Extended Universe movie 'Wonder Woman' is obviously one of the most exciting and thrilling superhero films of the modern day. Finally bringing the titular hero to the big screen for her first big budget Hollywood movie, 'Wonder Woman' has proven that the DCEU can be a success, following the critically panned first trilogy of films 'Man of Steel', 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 'Suicide Squad'.

Gal Gadot's Big Misconception: 'Horseback Riding Is Exhausting'

Gal Gadot

Gal Gadot has had to put some serious work into her latest film 'Wonder Woman', particularly in a physical sense, but there were some aspects of her training that she had no idea would be as hard as they turned out to be. One of them was horseback riding.

The 32-year-old Israeli actress had to learn all kinds of martial arts and sword fighting techniques months ahead of filming Patty Jenkins' DC blockbuster hit, all while getting her body into shape because there's really no way of pretending to be that athletic and unyielding.

Gal Gadot Always Wanted To Be Wonder Woman

Gal Gadot

After debuting in her role as Wonder Woman in last year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and arguably stealing the film out from under its stars, hopes have been high for Gal Gadot's stand-alone Wonder Woman movie, the first female-centred superhero movie directed by a female filmmaker, Patty Jenkins.

Wonder Woman Review

Excellent

Boldly optimistic, this action-packed adventure breathes fresh life into the DC universe with a welcome balance of comedy, flirtation and a sense of righteous justice. And at the centre, Gal Gadot is a hugely engaging hero with a refreshing moral clarity to her actions. So even if the movie dissolves into the usual murky digital mayhem in its final act, there's a bright light at the centre that holds us in its grip.

While the Great War rages in Europe, life carries on as usual on the secret island home of the Amazons, where Diana (Gadot) has been raised by her mother Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen) and trained by her aunt General Antiope (Robin Wright). When American spy Steve (Chris Pine) crash-lands there, Diana quickly agrees to return with him to war-torn Europe, track down God of War Aries and put an end to the fighting for good. Awed by her fighting prowess and skimpy outfit, Steve agrees to take her. They return to London to confront a smug politician (David Thewlis) and assemble a team so they can return to the front on a mission to take down the nefarious German General Ludendorff (Danny Huston) and his chemical weapons scientist Maru (Elena Anaya). But Diana is still looking for Aries.

Director Patty Jenkins tells this story like an old-fashioned war epic, following a rag-tag group of good guys as they go through a series of battles on their way to the big confrontation. Along the way, there's plenty of comedy banter, dark emotion and even some lusty romance. Putting a woman at the centre of the action gives the movie a strongly resonant slant, especially because she's surrounded by men who always underestimate her.

Gal Gadot Takes Conan Through 'Wonder Woman' Bootcamp

Gal Gadot Conan O'Brien

If there's one thing you can say about Gal Gadot, it's that she's got a hell of a lot of stamina. Her portrayal of DC superhero Diana Prince in 'Wonder Woman' is relentless from what we've seen so far, and it's all down to months of training as she explained to Conan O'Brien

Conan wanted to see if he could become as fit as Wonder Woman in 35 minutes on his show, as Gal Gadot looked on in amusement with her Czech trainer Rudolf Vrba. Together they practised sword-fighting, kicking and, weirdly, the can-can.

Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is the first to unite with Bruce as he gathers the Justice League, both spurred by the brave sacrifice of their friend Clark Kent (Henry Cavill). Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) is a little shocked to be recruited, especially while he's got his own problems to deal with such as his father Henry Allen (Billy Crudup) being in prison.

Ewen Bremner Fears He'd Have To Hide Scottish Accent In Wonder Woman

Ewen Bremner Gal Gadot

Ewen Bremner feared he would have to hide his Scottish accent in 'Wonder Woman'.

The 45-year-old actor is set to star in the forthcoming superhero film alongside Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, and although Bremner's role has been kept under wraps, he has admitted he thought he would have to ditch his twang to suit the movie, and was ''shocked'' to learn he didn't actually have to try his best to not let any hints of his mother tongue slip through.

Speaking to Metro newspaper about the movie, he said: ''I don't know, because it is really under wraps. I was shocked they let me be properly Scottish in it. I was expecting the Americans would ask me to gentrify my accent a little bit, or the humour even, but they let me go as far as I liked. I had plenty of fun on it.''

Millie Bobby Brown, Gal Gadot And Donald Glover Among The Rising Stars Of 2016

Millie Bobby Brown Gal Gadot Alden Ehrenreich Diego Luna

Every year a deluge of new talent floods the movie theatres and 2016 was no different. Some stars, the likes of Sofia Boutella ('Star Trek Beyond'), Travis Fimmel ('Warcraft'), Zoey Deutch ('Why Him?'), Jack Huston ('Ben-Hur') and Aidan Turner ('Poldark'), are the kind of actors that have been around for a while, but have only this year managed to land leading roles. Others have broken through with immense force after almost total obscurity:

Millie Bobby Brown - Matt and Ross Duffer couldn't have imagined the kind of success their 80s inspired supernatural TV series 'Stranger Things' would have, but arguably the world's favourite thing about that show is Millie Bobby Brown, who plays telekinetic labrat Eleven. For a while it was up in the air as to whether or not she would return for the second series given the mysterious fate of her character in the first season's final episode, but recent confirmations suggest we haven't seen the last of her.

Gal Gadot

Wonder Woman displays the extent of her powers in the new trailer for the film, which delves into Diana Prince's desire to end the War and hints at a terrible personal tragedy. It's set to be one of the most important upcoming DC films yet, apart from perhaps 'Justice League'.

Wonder WomanWonder Woman hits theatres in June 2017

We saw soldiers invade her island and the Amazons fighting back, Diana in her armoured costume using her Lasso of Truth and later crossing No Man's Land like a boss.
