Fact: Actor Frank Langella is set to play King Lear in an upcoming revival of the Shakespeare tragedy. The Frost/Nixon star will portray the titular doomed ruler at Brooklyn Academy of Music's Harvey Theater in New York from 7 January (14). Langella made his Broadway debut in 1966, and will follow in the footsteps of thespians like Sir Ian MCKellen and Sir Derek Jacobi, who have portrayed the tragic king onstage.
Fact: Frost/Nixon star Frank Langella will release his memoirs next year (12). The actor, who scrapped a previous effort at an autobiography in 2007, has teamed with publisher HarperCollins for Dropped Names.
