The Purge Poster

Ultimately, it appears that The Purge: Anarchy isn’t going to be for everybody - similarly to how the original Purge was. In addition to Scheck’s review, he added, “Although its provocative premise could have been exploited more fully, this ramped-up sequel provides the requisite thrills,” which means that once again they haven’t quite nailed the lore that this series can bring. Hopefully in future installments, and future installments will absolutely exist … probably every year … they can delve deeper into other perspectives of the night of the Purge - governments, or maybe paramedics that WANT to help possible victims. With the Saw movies being a thing in the past, and Paranormal Activity just becoming stale, Hollywood could use a new yearly horror franchise to provide some thrills. The door is wide open for the future of these movies, and luckily, it seems as though The Purge: Anarchy is good enough to possibly cement itself as the next big thing.
