The designer first met the celeb offspring in a bar when she was just two-years-old.
Marc Jacobs has unveiled his latest fashion muse, 24-year-old Frances Bean Cobain.
Frances is the daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Hole frontwoman Courtney Love, who has also worked with the designer, starring in an advert for his Fall 2016 collection.
Sharing the first shot of Frances modelling his Spring 2017 collection on Instagram, the designer reminisced about the first time they met, over 20 years ago. “I first met Frances Bean when she was two years old at a dinner with her mom (Courtney) and Anna Sui in 1994 at Bar Six in NYC,” he wrote.
“I have always wanted to work with Frances. Her beauty, uniqueness, and strength is something I have long admired and respected. Few things remain as constant as my continued inspiration from those whose honesty, integrity, courage, and curiosity lead them to explore and venture beyond preconceived boundaries.”

Frances, who works as an artist, opened up to Vogue about the experience and why she decided to say yes to Jacobs. “I don't think I'll be modeling for anybody else for a very long time — this is 100 per cent outside my comfort zone. I wouldn't have done it with anyone other than Marc,” she told the magazine.
“I thought this collection was great, and I was flattered that Marc thought of me for this. What I said to Marc when I was saying yes was that he's an underdog for the masses. He's still very rebellious within the fashion world, and he’s been like that his entire career.
“The shoot had a very organic feel—all the makeup was my own. We used the lipstick from right out of my purse, and no one did anything to my hair. They just put me in the clothes,” she continued. “I could never do modelling professionally, but I'm glad I did it with Marc, because I trust him.”
