Straight Outta Compton - Family Legacy Featurette

'Straight Outta Compton' is the upcoming biopic of break-out rap collective the NWA, co-produced by former members Dr. Dre and Ice Cube and directed by F. Gary Gray. Cube's son O'Shea Jackson Jr. takes on the role of his father in the movie; his first acting role which Gray insists he didn't get just because of his father.

'Shea was the perfect person because Shea had his dad to learn from', says Gray. 'People said, 'Well, as he's Ice Cube's son, so of course he's going to get the job' and I said, 'No, that's not the case'. I'm not going to put an entire role in the hands of a novice if I didn't think he could pull it off. It took him two years to get this role.'
