The death of the troubled Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain in 1994 has long been accepted as a tragic suicide, but for some of the investigators involved at the time, there were many factors that proved otherwise. When his wife Courtney Love hired private investigator Tom Grant to search for her absent husband just days before his body was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head, he became immediately suspicious of the circumstances and decided to record their phone conversations. Pathologists and police from the time also voice doubts over the suicide ruling, particularly when it was found he had three times the lethal dose of heroin in his body, but the case has never been reassessed. 

This controversial conspiracy documentary drama explores the death of Kurt Cobain through the information garnered by Tom Grant. Directed by Benjamin Statler in his directorial debut, the movie features dramatizations co-written by Donnie Eichar ('Victory Over Darkness') and Richard Middleton ('Wrong Number'). 'Soaked In Bleach' is set to be released in the US on June 11th 2015.
