Matt Weston is a young CIA agent who, for the past year, has been bored by his inactive post in Cape Town. Matt is a "housekeeper" who aspires to be a full-fledged agent, a loyal company man who is waiting for an opportunity to prove himself. That opportunity seems to present itself when Matt's new 'guest' proves to be the most dangerous man he's ever met.

This man is Tobin Frost, who has avoided capture for nearly a decade. Formerly one of the best ops men that the CIA's known, the ex-intelligence officer gave up assets and sold military intelligence to anyone with cash. From trading secrets to North Korea to aiding splinter cells, the damage he's done to the U.S. is immense. And he's now back on the reservation with a secret.

As soon as Tobin is brought in for debriefing, mercenaries come and destroy Matt's safe house. Barely escaping with their lives, Matt and Tobin have no choice but to team up; they must discover if their attackers were sent by terrorists or from someone on the inside who will kill anyone standing in their way. Now it's up to Weston to figure out who he can trust before Tobin and he are both killed.
