Piper Chapman is still in prison during her fifteen month stint following her conviction of transporting drug money for her ex-girlfriend Alex Vause ten years ago. She thought she had escaped her risky youth, but her one crime had finally caught up with her despite now living a perfectly ordinary, law-abiding life with a soon-to-be husband. Prison may be full of women, but it's not all good news. As expected, it's a volatile environment with much drama and much aggression. But with that comes unshakeable friendships, the genuine efforts of prison officials to help rebuild these women's lives and old faces all around. Piper is reunited with Alex, and the pair find themselves struggling to shake off that glimmering spark between them.
