As a boy, Abraham Lincoln learns from his father, Thomas, that vampires are real. Worse still, it was vampires that took the life of Abe's mother, Nancy, rather than 'milk sickness' as he previously believed. The news, understandably, shocks Abraham, who vows to avenge his mother and hunt down and kill vampires.
Several years later, Abraham gets word of a vampire attack along the Ohio River. Upon investigating, he is attacked by vampires and almost killed. He is nursed back to health by a good vampire, Henry, who explains that not all vampires are evil.
For the next several months, Abe trains in the art of combat, helped along by Henry. The future President of the United States becomes skilled in axe handling and wrestling. The pair continue to work together for several more years; Henry passes on the name of evil vampires to Abraham, who then hunts them down and kills them.
Eventually, Abe and Henry go their separate ways but not before the foundation is laid for Abraham Lincoln to track down and kill all the vampires in the country. Along the way, he becomes president, triggers the Civil War and sees his son killed. Will he manage to wipe out the vampires?
