Upcoming movie A Green Story does exactly what it says on the tin; it tells the story of eco-giant Van Vlahakis, a Greek immigrant who arrived in the United States of America with nothing but $22 in his pocket and the desire to achieve and prosper. Vlahakis would go on to found and build up the multi-million dollar green company Earth Friendly Products with little more than grit and determination. Told through a series of flashbacks, it mixes past and present as Vlahakis is seen arriving in America, starting out as a humble chemist before making it as an eco-friendly multi-million dollar businessman. He faces conflict between money hungry rival companies, co-workers and perhaps most worryingly of all his own health.

From director Nika Agiashvili, A Green Story is one of the year's most hotly anticipated Greek films and will be the opening film at the LA Greek Film Festival on May 31st 2012. The film, written and directed by Agiashvili, is only his second venture into full-length motion pictures from the Georgian moviemaker, yet it is already creating quite a buzz around it.
