Farrah Fawcett received the ultimate 60th birthday present yesterday (02FEB07) - her doctor's have declared she is now cancer-free.
The former CHARLIE'S ANGELS actress first revealed she was suffering from anal cancer in October (06).
DR GARY GITNICK, Fawcett's lead physician at the University of California, Los Angeles, said the actress "has had a full and complete response to treatment. Her prognosis is excellent."
Fawcett said, "This is an extraordinarily happy day for me and my family. I hope that my news might offer some level of inspiration to others who unfortunately must continue to fight the disease."
The star's spokesman, MIKE PINGEL, said the actress planned to celebrate her birthday with family and friends and hopes to get back to work "in the next month or two."
