Eve Releases Her Fourth Album 'Lip Lock' On 3rd June 2013

Grammy Award-Winning, female hip-hop luminary, Eve, is set to make a triumphant return to the rap game with the release of her fourth album, 'LIP LOCK', on 3rd June 2013.
Lip Lock, the Philadelphia native's fourth album, marks the singer's confident return to music under her own label, and some new songs in tow.  Eve says,"I reconfigured my life and I took time to record, and just feeling right artistically. The good thing is, right now, I feel it."

Eve's return to the music world comes with new sounds and collaborators, while still maintaining the unmistakable edge of her first three records, "I call the new record Lip Lock because it's about locking the game back down", she says.

You can trace Lip Lock's musical themes all the way back to 'Let There Be Eve' - this is the work of a strong artist and a fierce rapper not afraid to make a few musical left turns. The percussive fury of 'All Night' is tempered by the cool synths of 'Keep Me From You', featuring Dawn Richard. There's some powerful boasting in 'Mama in the Kitchen' featuring Snoop Dogg, mixed with perfect pop hooks of first single, 'Make It Out This Town' with Gabe Saporta. Also featured on the album are Pusha T, Juicy J and Chrisette Michele.

Lyrically, the record feels confident. "The overall theme here is strength," says Eve. "There's aggression, like my first record, but it's different. I'm in your face, but I don't need to prove anything. It's not anger, it's feeling my strength, being a strong woman."

With 'She Bad Bad', a take-no-prisoners anthem. Eve claims, "We wanted to start out with something viral, something different. It definitely is getting people talking. I mean, I didn't want to leave my core audience behind, but I did want to build a bridge from Ruff Ryders to where I am now."

Eve has collaborated with the likes of Gwen Stefani (Grammy Award winning mega-hit 'Let Me Blow Ya Mind'), Maroon 5, Ludacris and Kelly Rowland.  With album sales totaling nearly 10 million worldwide, Eve is a genuine star in the worlds of music, fashion and film.

Recognised as one of hip hop's most celebrated female MCs, she has received accolades as diverse as her career, ranging from a GRAMMY Award, to an NAACP Image Award, MTV Video Music Award and a BET Award, as well as multiple nominations from across the industry for her work.

When she hasn't been making music, the hip-hop star has been making her mark in films including Barbershop, Vin Diesel's xXx, and Whip It. Eve is no stranger to the TV sets, with her own show, Eve, and in guest roles on shows such as Glee. 'Fetish' is Eve's own fashion line.

As the only female in the Ruff Ryders crew that consisted of rappers DMX, The Lox and Drag-on, Eve stood out as the ride-or-die chick that could hold her own amongst the boys. Anchored by chart-topping singles like the vivacious "Gotta Man" and the anti-domestic abuse classic "Love Is Blind" Eve's 1999 debut album Let There Be Eve.Ruff Ryder's First Lady was a double platinum success. Her 2001 sophomore release Scorpion also went Platinum.
