The news is hardly surprising as 28-year-old Peters, who is engaged to his AHS co-star Emma Roberts, has starred in the past four seasons of the show: Murder House, Asylum, Coven and Freak Show

The upcoming series of AHS will be set in a haunted hotel in Hollywood. It is as yet uncertain if the series will be set in the present day, like Murder House and Coven, or in the past like Freak Show and Asylum. There has been some suggestion the upcoming series will be somehow linked to Murder House, which was also set in Los Angeles.

Murphy has kept fans regularly updated on Hotel's casting. Sadly, the show's leading lady Jessica Lange has made her departure from the series after playing a pivotal role in all four seasons. However, plenty of old faces will be returning to the show including Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Chloe Sevigny, Matt Bomer and Wes Bentley

Paulson has starred in all four seasons of AHS and is set to star in Murphy's next anthology series, American Crime Story. Bates, who has starred in the past two seasons of AHS, will be running the hotel. Sevigny starred in Asylum whilst Bomer and Bentley had small roles, as Andy and Edward Mordrake, in Freak Show

Two new faces, Lady GaGa and Cheyenne Jackson, will also be starring in the upcoming series. Although neither Gaga nor Jackson's characters have been confirmed, Gaga will reportedly be working closely with Bomer.
