If “1980” introduced the nation to Estelle and her West London roots, and “Free” was a demonstration of her upbeat positivity, then next single “Go Gone” will cement Estelle’s reputation as a feisty and determined young singer who is in this for the long run. To any non believers she gives a stinging retort:

“I see you watching me, and I know you’re looking deep in my face,

You just can’t wait, can’t wait to beat me down,

But I ain’t going down no way,

You see me rising higher and you’re trying to put some blocks in my way,

But I’m bigger and stronger, I guess I go faster, and you’re never gonna get in my way.”

Taken from the album “The 18 th Day”, “Go Gone” is a Motown-inspired track which she re-recorded with Lenny Kravitz’ band on a recent trip to LA.

"With “Go Gone” people will see some of my influences which go way back to classic soul and 60's R&B. I think people will see a new side of me and realize that I am a singer as well as a rapper."

Estelle has also teamed up her A list girlfriends to record a track entitled “Dancing”. Featuring Ms Dynamite, Shystie, Beverly Knight, Terri Walker, Dion from Big Brothers and Haidara, this limited 12 inch is released on Estelle’s own label, StellarEnts.
