Engelbert Humperdinck has been officially crowned the oldest singer ever to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest.
The Release Me hitmaker, 76, is the U.K.'s entrant for this year's (12) competition and will go up against younger acts from across Europe with his track Love Will Set You Free.
Officials at Guinness World Records confirmed on Wednesday (16May12) Humperdinck has set a new high.
The veteran singer says, "I'm proud of the achievement and now want to go on to win the competition."
The Eurovision Song Contest takes place in Baku, Azerbaijan on 26 May (12).
