Sydney duo Empire of the Sun dropped their new five-track EP 'On Our Way Home' last week (November 10th 2017), and with it they launch a video for their new single 'Way To Go'. The EP also features the songs 'On Our Way Home' and 'Two Leaves', as well as the Cornelius mix and Gomez & Tritter remix of 'Way To Go'.
Directed by Ryo Kitabatake, the video is a sci-fi fantasy featuring the band members themselves and some impressive kaleidoscopic imagery, giving the whole song an enhanced feel of trippy dream-pop.
'Way To Go' is also the latest single from the band's; who are Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore; third studio album 'Two Vines' which dropped in October 2017 on Virgin EMI Records. The album was co-produced by Peter Mayes of Pnau and frequent collaborator Donnie Sloan, and featured a number of guest appearances from Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham to Wendy Melvoin from Prince's backing band The Revolution.
Pianist Henry Hey and session bassist Tim Lefebvre, who both worked with David Bowie on his final album 'Blackstar', also appear on the record and even co-wrote 'Way To Go' with Empire of the Sun.
