Following the monumental success of Love the Way You Lie, Eminem and Rihanna have hooked up again for The Monster - the new single from The Marshall Mathers LP 2.

Upon hearing it, one thing's for sure: this is going to be another hit for the rapper.

The track begins with acoustic guitar and vocals from Rihanna, "I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed/ Get along with the voices inside of my head/ You trying to save me, stop holding your breath," she sings on the track, which debuted on Monday.

Eminem raps "Call me crazy/ But I had this vision that one day I'll walk amongst regular civilians" before Rihanna comes back in for the chorus, "I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed, Get along with the voices inside of my head, You're trying to save me, stop holding your breath, And you think I'm crazy, yeah, you think I'm crazy."

The Monster stands out as the most pop-oriented work from MMLP2, probably speaking to a different audience from Bezerk and Rap God.

Eminem's new album, executive produced by Dr Dre and Rick Rubin, will also feature Kendrick Lamar, Skylar Grey and Nate Ruess. The deluxe edition also features Sia and Jamie N. Commons.

Eminem's Rap God debuted at No.2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs last week, selling 270,000 downloads.

Rihanna has teased The Monster after recording the hook in September, "Just left the studio... Recorded a #monster hook for one of my favorite artists! And that's all I can give you..." she told fans, who at the time speculated the mystery artist as everyone from Lady Gaga, to Katy Perry.
