The widow of a man killed in a helicopter crash Elle Macpherson's husband Jeffrey Soffer survived has filed a second $100 million (Gbp62.5 million) lawsuit, after dropping the first case.

Lance Valdez lost his life in the accident in the Bahamas in 2012, and in December (13), Soffer was hit with a wrongful death lawsuit from Valdez's widow, Dasha Gogoleva, who accused the millionaire of flying the helicopter without a license and later persuading pilot David Pearce to say he was at the controls.

Earlier this month (Jan14), Gogoleva withdrew the claim over jurisdiction issues.

However, on Friday (10Jan14) she refiled an amended suit in a Miami, Florida court.

In the legal papers, she reiterates her claim that "Soffer was flying the helicopter at the time of the crash, and he was responsible for the crash that killed Lance Valdez," according to the New York Post.

The papers read, "Despite being responsible for the death of his friend, Soffer repeatedly lied to and intentionally deceived Daria (aka Dasha) about his involvement in the crash in an effort to persuade her to pursue an insurance recovery rather than a claim against him."
