Elizabeth Banks' comments have certainly upset Tara Reid but the troubled actress has not responded in kind. Reid has issued a short statement in which she expressed her distress at hearing of Banks' criticism although she's been decidedly less subtle on Twitter.

Tara Reid has responded to comments Elizabeth Banks made about her in a recent interview and she's certainly taken the high road. Banks, in a recent interview with THR, criticised actress 39-year-old Reid and suggested she has been far from successful in her acting career. Reid was promoting her upcoming film, Pitch Perfect 2, which she directs and has a small starring role in, during the interview.

O'Brien will reprise his role in the upcoming sequel 'Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials'. Meanwhile, Zac Efron's abs in 'Neighbors' predictably won him Best Shirtless Performance, while his onscreen chemistry with Dave Franco made them Best Duo. 'Neighbors' was also the winner of Best WTF Moment, with Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne taking home the award.

As tensions within the band grew, he became more and more erratic and lost in a confusing world of hallucinations and psychosis. Paul Dano plays Wilson's enthusiastic younger self, while John Cusack takes on the role of the broken man that came decades after. Paul Giamatti also makes an appearance as Wilson's crooked psychologist Eugene Landy who fed him excessively high dosages of medicative drugs and prevented him from seeing his partner Melinda Ledbetter (who is played by Elizabeth Banks).

Patricia Arquette’s Oscars acceptance speech has set the world of social media alight in the last twenty four hours. After she used her time at the microphone to call for wage equality and equal rights for women, opinion has been polarised as to validity of her argument.

The 46 year old won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Olivia Evans in Boyhood. Little Accidents Review

With a strikingly unflinching eye, newcomer Sara Colangelo astutely adapts her 2010 short into an evocative feature, beautifully capturing the impact a series of random tragedies can have on a community. It's gorgeously shot and sensitively acted by a skilled cast, and while the film remains a little too ambiguous for its own good, it still gets under the skin to leave us pondering some very hard issues.

It's set in a working-class West Virginia town that's still reeling after a devastating mining accident. The only survivor was Amos (Boyd Holbrook), who has been left injured both physically and psychologically. And it doesn't help that everyone is pressuring him to lie to the investigators while quietly resenting him for surviving. For support, he turns to Diane (Elizabeth Banks), the wife of the mine's manager (Josh Lucas). And Diane needs help too, because her teen son JT (Travis Tope) has gone missing. The only person who knows what happened is 14-year-old Owen (Jacob Lofland), whose father died in the accident. He was cruelly bullied by JT in school, and is struggling to keep his own secret.

The script is minimalistic, as Colangelo prefers to deepen the characters rather than construct a detailed plot. Sometimes this feels rather too understated, but it also allows the actors to create people who are remarkably involving. Holbrook is magnetic, the heart of the film as a damaged man looking for healing wherever he can find it. Banks is simply wonderful in a complex role that makes us wish she'd do more serious drama. And Lofland more than lives up to the promise of Mud with a darkly involving performance that continually catches us by surprise. These three characters circle around each other like wounded animals looking for help, but while the plot points that push them together might feel contrived, their interaction is earthy and very real.

The 2001 cult comedy is being revived by the streaming service with most of the original cast returning.

It may have taken less than $2 million at the box office back in 2001, but comedy Wet Hot American Summer has gone on to become a cult classic thanks to its impressive cast list. But now it looks as if the comedy is getting a second chance to break the mainstream, this time as an eight episode series to be streamed on Netflix.

The limited series has been created by David Wain and Michael Showalter, who also wrote the movie. Wain, who directed the film, will also be behind the camera this time. The duo will also serve as executive producers alongside Howard Bernstein, Jonathan Stern and Peter Principato.

Elizabeth Bank's career is steadily blowing up at the moment, it isn't too surprising that her character in 'The Hunger Games' has been expanded.

As 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' continues to dominate the American box office and build anticipation to next year's concluding chapter, one member of the ensemble is emerging as a scene-stealer. Elizabeth Banks' character Effie Trinket was always the most colourful thing about these films, and the screenwriters cleverly contrived a way to work her into 'Mockingjay', even though Effie has a different fate in the novel.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 Review

This four-part franchise, based on the Suzanne Collins novels, turns very dark with this strikingly bold third film, which once again makes the most of perspective to recount a parable about normal people rising up against oppression. This may be a sci-fi apocalypse, but the story is packed with present-day resonance and messy characters who are sometimes unnervingly easy to identify with. So while things get very grim in this chapter, it's still a hugely engaging film, packed with real-life humour and emotion. And it makes Mockingjay Part 2 unmissable.

The story picks up not long after the chaos of the Quarter Quell, when Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) realised that she had been a pawn for a planned revolution that cast her as the iconic Mockingjay. Now in hiding, the rebels need her to assume the role publicly, but she has other concerns. So she makes a deal with rebel President Coin (Julianne Moore) and her sidekick Plutarch (Philip Seymour Hoffman) that she'll help them if they guarantee safety for the captured Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), who has apparently been brainwashed so he can be used for propaganda purposes by the Capitol's President Snow (Donald Sutherland). Working with her old hunting buddy Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Katniss takes on the Mockingjay role, locking horns with Snow as the rebellion grows in strength.

Once again, director Francis Lawrence vividly tells the story from Katniss' imperfect point of view. This is a teen consumed with anger and confusion, and she can't figure out why she's so inspiring to everyone who looks at her. But she's beginning to understand her impact and how she can use it to help the people she loves. This makes her heroism remarkably human, rather than the usual noble movie self-sacrifice. And Jennifer Lawrence brings so much depth to Katniss that the character transcends even the most jarring plot points. Her internal journey also makes this much more than yet another dystopian teen adventure.

Meghan Miles is a reporter whose best friends insist on taking her out and dragging her away from a night in alone wearing sweatpants. Later on, however, she awakens with several voice messages from work explaining that the network are looking for a new anchor; this is the job of a lifetime for Meghan, but she has a serious mission if she wants to get to the studio on time - a mission that's made even more complicated when her car is towed away with her purse inside and she finds herself lost without money, ID or a phone. With everyone thinking she's just a roaming hooker, nobody seems willing to help her. Just what trouble will she have to push through to collect her belongings and get to work on time?

The Lego Movie Review

Inventive visuals and a seriously deranged script make this animated adventure far more enjoyable than we expect, especially as it brings out the childish creativity in everyone watching. Filmmakers Lord and Miller are experts at finding offbeat comedy in the most surprising places (see Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs or 21 Jump Street). And this movie is often jaw-droppingly entertaining.

It's set in a Lego city where construction worker Emmet (voiced by Pratt) follows instructions to the letter. Like everyone else, he has been lulled into complacency by President Business (Ferrell), whose inanely catchy pop songs (the insanely hummable Everything Is Awesome!) and mindless TV shows (Where Are My Pants?) keep people from thinking creatively. He's also concocting an insidious plan involving a secret weapon called the Kragle. Then Emmet inadvertently discovers the Piece of Resistance and is declared "The Special" by the underground rebel alliance led by Wyldstyle (Banks) and Vitruvius (Freeman). With help from Batman (Arnett), a patched-up pirate (Offerman) and a groovy kitty (Brie), they go off-grid to save their civilisation, pursued by the president's vicious enforcer (Neeson).

As the story spirals from the city to the Wild West and Cloud Cuckoo Land, it develops an insane, free-wheeling tone that can't help but spark our imaginations. And the sassy 3D animation adds to this by evoking surreal stop-motion classics like Gumby or The Magic Roundabout while referencing other movies and playing merrily with iconic characters. Hill, Smulders and Tatum turn up as a trio of frustrated superheroes, while Daniels and Williams offer a bit of Star Wars silliness. All of the vocal cast members dive into their characters with energy, bringing out the warped humour and pulling us into the action and even some emotional moments.

Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are officially back for the comedy sequel.

It's official: there's going to be a sequel to 2012's surprisingly successful musical comedy Pitch Perfect titled, of course, Pitch Perfect 2. Fans of the original movie need to get excited because the stars of the show, Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson, will be back in the sequel for more sing-offs, jokes and dramas.

The movie's Twitter feed posted two new posters for the movie, which will be released in May 2015. The new shots show Rebel and Anna as their characters Fat Amy and Beca with the caption "They're Back!" whilst the other shows the whole singing team - The Barden Bellas - posing with sunglasses. As far as teaser posters go, they've done a very good job.

Danish company The Lego Group have partnered up with Warner Brothers for the first feature length Lego film, The Lego Movie, set to hit the big screen in 2014.

A child's imagination is what made Lego blocks what they were. They could make a spaceship, a Wild West shootout or even a pirate ship come to life; well, maybe for a few hours until the few remaining pieces left out were embedded in a parent's foot. Now it has reached a safer place for adults as the loveable figures make their way from the toy box onto the big-screen in 3D animation comes Warner Brothers production: 'The Lego Movie'. With a highly admirable voiceover cast of Will Arnett, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Channing Tatum and Elizabeth Banks, the film looks ready to be a 2014 BLOCK-buster sensation.

It seems that something in the movie's playful attitude and inventiveness has worked to bring out the inner child of even the most cynical critics and it's practically unanimous: The Lego Movie is a winner.

Critics Are Falling Head-Over-Heels For 'The Lego Movie.'

The movie stars Chris Pratt as Emmet, an average little Lego guy with a sunny outlook on life who is mistaken for the amazing Master Builder by the bearded sage Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman) and is enlisted on a mission to save the Lego world from being destroyed by Lord Business, the evil tyrant voiced by Will Ferrell. Emmet's unpreparedness yet nervous willingness to take on the heavy mantle of hero makes for some hilariously hapless scenes that will coax giggles out of those who thought their childhood was long gone.

Elizabeth Banks will be making her directorial debut when she takes the helm of the musical comedy sequel 'Pitch Perfect 2'.

Actress Elizabeth Banks is expected to make her directorial debut with the sequel 'Pitch Perfect 2', according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The first music comedy movie was released back in September 2012 in which Banks had a role as 'Gail Abernathy-McKadden', a commentator for the ICCAs, but this time she will also take a role behind the camera.

The story, which follows the rivalry between a capella groups battling for a national competition at University, stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson and they are both expected to return to reprise their roles.
