Saoirse Ronan helps her mate Ed Sheeran out by appearing in the video for Galway Girl. Given the topic of the lyrics, Ed and Saoirse took a trip to Dublin to shoot the video which is actually shot in first person by Ed himself. The story of the video sees Ed coming off stage after a gig and heading down to the legendary O'Connell's bar where he meets the video's protagonist and from that point on the couple are seen having fun together; stopping to dance with a troupe of young girls, watching buskers and of course, Ed stops to get a tattoo!
As well as Saoirse there are also a few other familiar faces in the video including comedian Tommy Tiernan and the band Beoga who actually co-wrote the song with Ed.
Galway Girl is the latest single from Ed's number one selling album Divide. The album has sold incredibly well having gone x five platinum in the UK alone!
