The pitter patter of tiny feet is heading to Albert Square as Jacqueline Jossa, better known as Laura Branning, has announced she is expecting a baby with her on/off boyfriend Dan Osbourne.

The pair made the announcement through their spokesperson, and said "We're thrilled by our news." This is Jossa's first child, although Osbourne's ex-girlfriend Megan gave birth to their baby boy, Teddy, eight months ago.

Jacqueline and Dan have kept fans guessing about their relationship previously as rumours swirled the internet about them, but they confirmed they were back together in June with a cute snap on her Instagram page.

Obsourne frequently shares pictures and details of his young son's progress via social media, and is excited to become a father for the second time. "Becoming a father has been the most amazing thing to ever happen to me. I can't believe I'm going to be dad again - I'm truly blessed." He said.

A spokesperson for 'Eastenders' also congratulated the expectant parents, commenting 'Everyone at EastEnders is thrilled for Jacqueline.'

Jossa has played Lauren Branning in the soap since 2010 and won the award for Best Newcomer at the National Television Awards in 2012 and Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards 2013. She has also been nominated for Sexiest Female at the British Soap Awards three times but has lost each time to Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan. Since she joined the show, Jossa's character has battled alcoholism and dealt with the death of her mother.

Meanwhile, Osbourne will be appearing in the thirteenth series of 'The Only Way is Essex', due to air before the end of 2014. He was last seen on screens in July.
