DUSTY SPRINGFIELD Will Be Recreated In Virtual Form In A New London Musical Celebrating Her Career.
The Son of a Preacher Man hitmaker, who died in 1999, will be the virtual star of Dusty, a new production about her life and career, thanks to 3D laser technology which can combine images and footage of the pop legend with those of a body double.
The singers and dancers onstage will be able to 'interact' with the virtual presence in the show, which begins previews at London's Charing Cross Theatre on 25 May (15).
Producer Michael Linnit tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "Dusty herself is playing Dusty... Dusty walks and talks and sings. It's her voice, singing all the hits she's associated with."
