Duncan Bannatyne has been defiant in the face of the derision thrown his way after posting a picture of himself kissing his girlfriend Nigora Whitehorn earlier this month, but one criticism in particular from ex-‘Apprentice’ star Karren Brady has made him angry.

The 66 year old fired back at the West Ham United chairwoman who called him a “silly, old fool” in her regular column for The Sun recently. Brady had written: “At 66 he has taken up with his second mid-30s partner this year and flaunts it by posting a hilariously repulsive picture, of him snogging this young lady.”

Bannatyne has been involved in a whirlwind romance with the 35 year old dental receptionist, who hails from Uzbekistan and has a 13 year old daughter, having met her six months ago. He had previously dated the 37 year old Miss Great Britain Michelle Evans earlier this year, and he took to Twitter to criticise Brady for getting involved in this way.

“Brady is a complete coward to attack my GF in this way,” he said in the first of a series of tweets. “Total coward Brady… To attack an innocent girl that has no route of reply is cowardly… Exactly but cowards like Brady new to make money somehow.”

Continuing his attack, Bannatyne then appeared to cast aspersions on the ethics and politics of the 46 year old business leader, who was recently appointed a Conservative life peer in the House of Lords, by retweeting something that one of his followers had written. “Perhaps bitter as she became successful through cronyism / nepotism. Cruel words not very “lady” like.”

The original picture, which Bannatyne posted back on December 21st but subsequently deleted, was roundly mocked by many other Twitter users, who posted similar pictures with the same caption ‘Good morning have a wonderful day. I know I will x’.
