Drew Barrymore makes wine to help her relax.

The 40-year-old actress, who has daughters Olive, two, and Frankie, 14 months, with husband Will Kopelman, admits she is planning to focus more on growing her wine business in the future because it is one of her favourite things in life.

She said: ''Other than being a parent, food, friendship and wine and the best things there are.

''Creating wine is a beautiful headspace to live in. It's romantic, escapist and communal. I'm gradually making it more of my focus.''

The 'Blended' star already has her own Barrymore by Carmel Road pinot grigio and is set to launch her new pinot noir in September.

Despite also running a successful cosmetics brand, Drew insists her life isn't perfect and considers herself a ''normal'' parent.

She said: ''I am no lifestyle expert. And I'm not perfect in the kitchen. But I'm getting there - slowly.

''If I'm rushing and I need something quick, I'll happily throw fish sticks in the toaster over for lunch. Sometimes it's really elaborate, and sometimes it's frozen and quick - but always healthy.''

Drew also enjoys getting together with friends, including Cameron Diaz and Reese Witherspoon, for cooking sessions.

She told People magazine: ''We cook together a lot on Sunday nights, and it's a group effort.''
