Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler have made a movie together again. Blended exactly what you would expect – a romantic comedy about two single parents. Following a disastrous first date, Jim and Lauren end up both taking their families on a “romantic getaway” in Africa (the exact country is never specified, at least not in the trailer).

The 50 First Dates stars are back together in a new rom com.

In a massively unpredictable twist (not really), the two families are forced to spend their holiday together, facing such highly original obstacles as strange food, annoying touchy couples, parachuting mishaps and some not too affectionate lions.

Add to that some very bored-looking, very frustrated teenagers and you’ve got a recipe for disaster – just not the interesting kind. We never actually get to learn what the film’s title has to do with anything, presumably because that’s a surprise, reserved for moviegoers. We also don’t get a peak at Jim and Lauren’s budding romance. This is unusual for a rom com trailer, but it’s a pretty safe bet that the two get together in the end.

The Frank Coraci film was written by Ivan Menchell (the mind behind that Jonas brothers series from 2009) and Claire Sera, for whom this will be a feature film debut. The release date has been announced as 23 May 2014 in the UK and the US.
