Drea de Matteo has given birth to a baby boy.
Drea De Matteo, the Sopranos and Desperate Housewives actress, has announced the birth of her first son with her fiancé, Shooter Jennings.
Waylon Albert 'Blackjack' Jennings was born in Los Angeles on Thursday morning (7/4). The proud father took to social networking site Twitter to inform followers of the good news, Us magazine reports.
Jennings tweeted: "Waylon Albert 'Blackjack' Jennings has arrived. Thanks for all the kind words folks! We're super lucky to have so many kind friends!"
This is the couple's second child, who already have a daughter together, Alabama Gypsy Rose, 3. Their son's unusual name is reportedly a tribute to Jennings' father, late country singer Waylon Jennings. Waylon Jennings made history when he narrowly avoided the plane crash which killed Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. 'The Big Bopper' Richardson. Jennings had given his seat to Richardson at the last minute.
Shooter Jennings has followed in his father's musical footsteps, and is now pursuing a solo career with his backing band HIEROPHANT. The couple have been together over 9 years, with Jennings proposing to the actress in New York in 2009.
Since leaving the Sopranos, De Matteo has worked on several projects, most notably now-defunct 'Friends' spin-off 'Joey.' She also completed a stint on Desperate Housewives opposite on-screen husband JOHN BARROWMAN.
