Rapper Drake Is Facing Legal Action From The Distributors Behind His Concert Movie After He Publicly Distanced Himself From The Project On Monday (16mar15).
Executives of distribution company SpectiCast filed a lawsuit shortly before Drake's Homecoming: The Lost Footage was due to play in U.S. and U.K. cinemas for one night only on Thursday (19Mar15), according to TMZ.com.
In a post on his Twitter.com profile on Monday, Drake claimed he did not "have any part in" making the film, which features footage from a 2009 concert in his native Toronto, Canada.
Subsequent reports suggested he signed a contract allowing the gig to be filmed in exchange for a $15,000 (£9,375) advance and 15 per cent of the documentary's profits.
Editors at TMZ report the lawsuit targets Drake over his Twitter.com posting.
