The 26-year-old bassist recently signed to Storm Model Management and has been inspired to wear ladies' garments having been mixing with models and admits he's even thought about trying on women's underwear.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''There is such diversity in girls dress sense, even from their underwear.
''There is such a huge range ... I might even even start wearing them.
''I am actually wearing women's jeans tonight and I love women's shirts.''
The 'All About You' hitmaker signed to Storm earlier this year after attending a party with rumoured then-girlfriend Ellie Goulding, joining the likes of supermodel Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn, who are also represented by the esteemed modelling company.
A representative said at the time: ''We are really excited to be working with Dougie Poynter through our Storm Artists division.
''The talent division at Storm also works with A-list names from the world of film and music to create exciting opportunities within the fashion industry. Dougie will join a prestigious client roster which includes other bands, DJs and musicians.''
