German-born Dogg, real name Denis Cuspert, had toured with DMX and left the music industry three years ago to join IS, also changing his name to Abu Talha al-Almani.
He was killed in Syria on 16 October (15), according to the Hollywood Reporter.
A spokesperson at The Pentagon, the United States Department of Defence, said Cuspert was "a foreign terrorist fighter and operative for ISIL (IS) who used social media to take advantage of disaffected youth and potential Western recruits".
The former rapper had also allegedly threatened President Barack Obama and German citizens.
Editors at the Associated Foreign Press (AFP) reported that in November last year (14), images surfaced showing Cuspert holding a severed head and claiming the executed man was killed for opposing IS.
