The 32-date European Global Spirit Tour will see them embark across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia... 21 European countries altogether. Plus, ticket and merchandise sales from the tour will go towards funding charity:water; a charity which aims to provide clean water for everybody on the planet, especially citizens of impoverished African nations like Kenya, Ethiopia and Rwanda.

'On the last tour, with our fans' help, we were able to raise over $1.4 million for charity:water', said guitarist Martin Gore. The tour will start on May 5th at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden and will conclude in Cluj-Napoca, Romania at the Cluj Arena on July 23rd. The dates also include a headline appearance at Nos Alive Festival in Portugal.

As for their new album 'Spirit', it's a follow up to 2013's 'Delta Machine' and features a whole new team including producer James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco. 'He's helped us to make what we feel is a very incredible sounding record', Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan revealed. 'He was able to really guide us.'

'It's been amazing to go back and relive all the experiences and memories these videos evoke after all these years', they said. 'It's incredible to have all our videos finally together in one place, and we're hoping our fans enjoy this journey through time as much as we did.'

Tickets for the tour go on sale on October 14th 2016.
