Denise Richards has been involved in the "most terrifying situation" of her life after her vehicle was shot at.

The 51-year-old actress and her husband Aaron Phypers were travelling in their truck in Los Angeles on Monday (14.11.22) when a fellow motorist allegedly opened fire at their motor.

According to TMZ, a bullet hit the back end of the driver's side, but, fortunately, nobody was injured.

Aaron is said to have been struggling to find their destination, Popsicle Studio LA.

Denise later took to Twitter to speak about the "terrifying" incident as she hit back at a troll who hoped she had taken "a grazing shot to the neck".

In response to an article about Denise's ordeal, the Twitter user had written: "Don’t care kinda hope she would have taken a grazing shot to the neck honestly"

Denise replied: "Thank you. I would never wish any harm on anyone. What I experienced yesterday with my husband, not that you care. Was the most terrifying situation I have ever been in. I’m sorry a shot didn’t graze my neck…a****** (sic)"

Aaron was driving Denise to the set of her forthcoming film 'Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace', in which she plays a weapons expert.

A member of the production team is said to have called the emergency services upon seeing the bullet hole in their truck. It's not known if the police arrived or took a report.

Despite the incident, 'The World is Not Enough' actress is said to have worked for 12 hours afterwards, and Aaron remained by her side the whole time.

At the end of Denise's working day, an off-duty police officer, who was on the set, later escorted the pair back onto the freeway as they headed home.
