Denise Richards is caring for 10-day-old puppies after their mother died.

The 'Anger Management' star has become a foster parent to the orphaned mutts - who were left without a mother after the poor pooch passed away shortly after delivering them - and has been bottle-feeding them milk.

Denise posted a photo on Instagram of one of the baby dogs being fed with a caption that read:''Our 10 day old foster pups ... their mama sadly passed away after giving birth. Giving them lots of TLC (sic)''

Denise, 44, is a committed animal lover and campaigner for rescue pets, often going online to urge families to give a home to an unwanted animal rather than buy a pet.

The former Bond girl - who has two daughters Sam, 10, and Lola, nine, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, and adopted daughter Eloise - is known to have an ''open door policy'' when it comes to fostering animals.

She once told Pets.webmd.com: ''The number varies, because I'm often fostering. Let's just say: I built a dog room at my house. When I gutted and remodelled my house, I had the garage converted to a dog bedroom. It has stalls and beautiful bronzey, caramel-coloured wallpaper that I wanted for my house. But then I didn't have a room for it, so the dogs got it. Everyone who sees my dog room wants to come back as one of my dogs.''
