Actor Denis Leary Celebrated St Patrick's Day On Tuesday (17mar15) By Campaigning To Raise $1 Million (£625,000) For His Firefighters Charity.
The Amazing Spider-Man star, who played a firefighter in TV series Rescue Me, teamed up with drinks company Guinness to mark the Irish holiday by running a major fundraiser for The Leary Firefighters Foundation, the charity he set up in 2000 to help emergency service workers.
Leary launched a series of money-raising T-shirts, one of which was designed by singer Brad Paisley, to bring in funds and raise $1 million by the end of the 2015 St Patrick's Day celebrations.
After the fundraising day came to an end, the actor took to Twitter.com to thank fans for all their donations, writing, "Thanks to everyone who helped @GuinnessUS and the @LearyFF raise St. Paddy's Day cash for firefighters everywhere (sic)."
