Even though not much is known of Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama's relationship, the 22-year-old singer recently opened up about how supportive her on-and-off longtime love is, especially when she was suffering with an eating disorder.

Lovato, who checked into rehab for her eating disorder as well as issues with addiction to cocaine and alcohol, recently spoke candidly with the new issue of Fitness, admitting she was still suffering with bulimia in the summer of 2013.

"It was difficult. I almost went back to rehab for my eating disorder last summer," she confessed to the magazine. "I was obsessing over food and terrified of it at the same time."

Fortunately for Lovato, she had Valderrama by her side throughout the hard times.

"Wilmer noticed and called me out on it, which was a relief," she said about her partner. "I was done being afraid of food and so tired of overeating and not knowing why I did it."

With the support of the 'That 70s Show' actor and distancing herself from "yes people," Lovato is now happy with the way her body looks.

"I've learned to appreciate my body for it is," she said. "I recently saw pictures from my first tour, and I spent that whole summer performing in the heat in a red leather jacket because I was ashamed to show my arms. And that was when I was 105 pounds! This tour, I've had the confidence to show my arms at every single concert. It may seem like a small thing, but for me, that's huge."

The songstress added, "I'd rather be strong and happy than be what society thinks is thin and perfect and be miserable."
