Deep Purple rocker Jon Lord made sure his beloved piano went to a good home after his death by leaving the instrument to his grandson.
The pianist/keyboard player died from a pulmonary embolism in July (12) after a battle with pancreatic cancer, and it has now emerged he left an estate worth almost $3.2 million (£2 million).
In his will, the 71 year old specified that his favourite piano should be handed to his grandson, while the rest of the estate will go to his wife, Victoria, according to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper.
