WILL + GRACE star Debra Messing is pregnant with her first child.

The baby, due in the summer (04), will be the first for Messing and her screenwriter husband of three years Daniel Zelman.

American TV network NBC currently has no comment on whether Messing's pregnancy will be written into the hit series.

The pregnancy continues a stellar year for Messing, 35, as she was honoured as best actress in a comedy at this year's (21SEP03) Emmy Awards.
