Fist Fight Trailer

It's safe to say that most kids experience some kind of big fight in the playground after school during their high school years, whether they're involved or just bystanders... but usually the people throwing punches aren't the teachers. When Strickland threatens to beat up Campbell after school following a disagreement, Campbell doesn't take it seriously until it becomes clear that the whole school knows what's going down. Problem is, Campbell doesn't know the first thing about fighting and Strickland is totally ruthless. Campbell has few options, but whatever he chooses to do he's probably dead anyway.

Secret In Their Eyes Review

Excellent

It's rare for an American remake to be scruffier than the original, but this film is an intriguingly messier take on the super-slick, hugely engaging 2009 Oscar winner from Argentina. Filmmaker Billy Ray (Captain Phillips) has stripped down the tone and revamped the plot considerably, replacing the original film's big emotional surges with grittier intrigue and subtle intelligence.

The story begins as New York security expert Ray (Chiwetel Ejiofor) returns to Los Angeles, picking up the trail of an unsolved murder he worked on 13 years earlier when he was an FBI agent. His former colleague Jess (Julia Roberts) is still in the FBI, while Claire (Nicole Kidman) is now the city's district attorney. Together, they secretly begin looking into the case again, tracking the suspect (Joe Cole) through the city and dodging interference from fellow agent Reg (Michael Kelly). But the investigation doesn't go as planned, jeopardising all of them in their current jobs. And Ray is having trouble sorting out his relational history with both Jess and Claire.

These three fine actors cleverly play with the delicate tensions both between them and in the larger picture. At the centre, Ejiofor is gripping as a man of conscience who is tenaciously hoping for justice in a seriously murky situation. Kidman adds a slightly cheeky tone as a woman who has achieved professional success but never forgets the dodgy choices she has made. And Roberts gets the showier role, losing all of her Hollywood glamour as the tomboyish Jess, a woman with layer after layer of emotional turmoil. The chemistry between them is fascinating, even if the filmmaking approach feels dry and aloof. But there's so much going on in both the story and characters that it's impossible to look away. Nothing that happens is quite what it seems to be, and the big ideas linger in the background, leaving plenty for us to chew on.

After 'Breaking Bad', What's In Store For The Show's Stars?

Aaron Paul Bryan Cranston Anna Gunn Dean Norris

We've seen the finale and mourned the loss of one of the most popular series of our time; we have Better Call Saul to look forward to but what is in store for Breaking Bad's stars?

Aaron Paul joked that he is desperate for employment, a day after the finale of Breaking Bad aired. The 34-year-old actor was walking along Sunset Strip in Los Angeles when he was caught by one of TMZ's reporters. When asked by the photographer if he was relieved that the show was over, in order to remove the pressure of being constantly asked by fans for insider details, Paul said he wasn't relieved as he now has to hunt for a job.

Breaking Bad: Ozymandian Dealt With Key Moments, Handing The Characters Dignity

Bryan Cranston Dean Norris Aaron Paul

We’ve invested so much time and love into the characters of Breaking Bad, so when an episode like Ozymandian comes along, it’s important to deal with their separate demises with a considered touch. They’re family now!

This was certainly the case with Hank. Starting the season out as a macho-man; the cracker of bad jokes; a rather sad character, but ending his run in the show as a true hero, despite people still rooting for the anti-hero. Hank represented a modicum of morality towards the end, and it was only fair to send him off with his head held high.

Breaking Bad: Ozymandias - Where Does Walter White Go From Here?

Bryan Cranston Aaron Paul Dean Norris

Redemption can be a subtle thing. We’ve seen a heavy-handed approach in Hollywood blockbusters and the procedural crime shows that litter networks everywhere. But AMC, for all the gripping, fervent manoeuvres Breaking Bad takes, has a real beauty of modern programming on its hands. It’s subtle, when it needs to be.

Ozymandias wasn’t just ‘Shakespearian’ as many lazy reviewers have suggested – the same adjective is applied to every episode – no; it was more than Shakespearian. This is a modern tragedy, built upon the foundations of literature cemented in time by the seminal playwright, but deserved of its own legacy, as television screens and box sets slowly marginalise stages and box offices.

Stars Of 'Breaking Bad' Give Their Take On Show's Epic Conclusion

Bryan Cranston Bob Odenkirk Dean Norris Anna Gunn

Breaking Bad returned for it's final ever run on August 11, with the conclusion for the edge-of-your-seat drama series drawing ever closer for it's fanatical audience. Even before season 5 began earlier this year though, people have been speculating on how Bryan Cranston's Walter White might see out the series - standing triumphantly as Heisenberg or put away for good (or worse) for his crimes. If the word from the show's cast is anything to go by, the ending sure won't disappoint that's for sure.

Speaking to the UK's Telegraph, seedy lawyer Saul Goodman actor Bob Odenkirk gave his views on the ending of the show. In his interview, the actor discussed the explosive finale as being distinctly Breaking Bad, with unexpected turns and surprises that will only leave viewers wanting more. He admitted that Walt, and every other character for that matter, will atone for their sins and no bad deed, or good deed, will go without notice by series creator Vince Gilligan.

Bryan Cranston Anna Gunn Dean Norris Betsy Brandt

In the second half of the final season of Breaking Bad, the writers are holding no bars in destroying the fictional lives of their characters. In last night's episode 'Buried', Walter White's (Bryan Cranston) family are certainly not united. We've seen the White's and the Schrader's ups and downs over the years and the show's five seasons: from family barbeques to Hank Schrader's (Dean Norris) realisation that his brother-in-law is a prolific meth dealer.

The episode opens with Walt attempting to reach Skyler (Anna Gunn), only to realise that Hank has rung first. He assumes Hank will inform Skyler about his meth cooking activities, but we see Hank and Skylar meeting up to discuss Walt. Skyler refuses to leave Walt, despite Hank's pleadings, even dragging his wife into the mix and promising "your best interest and mine are the same."

Stephen King Adaptation 'Under The Dome' Will Star Twilight's Rachelle Lefevre

Rachelle Lefevre Stephen King Steven Spielberg Dean Norris Aisha Hinds Mike Vogel

Rachelle Lefevre will be joining the new CBS sci-fi drama Under the Dome, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Twilight star is pegged to play the role of Julia, an investigative reporter who has recently moved to Chetser’s Mill, from Chicago. Once there, she and the rest of Chester’s Mill’s inhabitants, finds herself dealing with the “post apocalyptic conditions” that arise when a “strange dome” encapsulates the entire town.

With the show based on Stephen King’s popular novel, Julia is the editor of the town’s local paper and her curiosity is sparked by the news that multiple deliveries of propane gas had been made to a local warehouse. The appearance of the dome has her confused, though the disappearance of her husband – the local doctor – has her even more concerned. The drama is due to be produced by CBS Television studios and was taken straight to series, in association with Steven Spielberg’s own Amblin Television. Working as executive producers on the show will be Neal Baer, Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, Stacey Snider and Brian K Vaughan. The premiere episode of the series will also feature Lost’s Jack Bender as executive producer.

The cast will also include Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), Mike Vogel (Pan Am) and Aisha Hinds (True Blood). Her casting in Under the Dome marks a return to CBS for Lefevre, who previously worked with them on A Gifted Man. The show is scheduled to premiere on June 24, 2013.
